Annette made her way to the woods she wanted to work out a little of the kinks she had felt building over the course of the day. Slipping from the school she moved down the path that would lead her to a spot she knew of that would serve as her work out place. Now wearing tight black seats and a tight top that showed her cleavage she moved quickly her trainers hitting the gravel beneath her feet as she moved feeling the warm air against her skin as she ran.
Slowing down she walked on, she only paused for a moment to look out over the lake her eyes catching the light as she stood. She wondered what her life had become, she could not help but smile as she stood on its shore looking out her breathing calm and level as she closed her eyes to the breeze that now seem to caress her face she sigh feeling it knowing it was the only thing that would touch her that way.
Turning she moved down the path again her motion now just a slow walk as she heard the birds singing there tune above her as she walked down the path to her spot her hair caught the breeze and blew behind her only to settle on her bare shoulder once again her heart beat in time to her foot steps as she moved down the gravel path slowly. Soon she glanced around seeing nobody she moved between two bushes into a clearing where she slipped off her jacket and placed it on a low branch.
Moving to the middle of he clearing she loosened up letting her arms hang at her side then slowly she moved as if music filled he air around her as she slowly made tie chi movements with her arms threw the air with a grace she only ever felt when she was alone , witch was all the time since even her room mate was always with her Friends or male Friends. As she moved she wondered what was wrong with her why was it she could not find her mate among all these males tat come to the school. Was she the only cougar or big cat there in the whole wide school and beyond. she pushed her thoughts aside focusing on her movements making them more fluid and seemingly controlled her father had taught her that control was a good thing, but lately she had slipped finding her self some what out of control.
Moving slowly gave her a chance to hear if any one snuck up on her and to hear the birds over head as they sang high up in the trees that now surrounded her in the clearing she stood in. Finishing her work out she moved to lay under a tree seeing the sun filter threw the gently moving leaves above her. Again the feeling of living a spinster slipped into her mind and she closed her eyes.Imagining the caress of the wind was a lovers hand against her cheek.

Sophie had decided to take a walk in the woods to be alone. Her classes had just ended so she had her bag for school on her side. It was loaded down with her books and laptop. In hear ears, Sophie was listening to music to get lost in the sound of the song. She was silently signing along to Creed as she walked along the woods.
She had never really looked at the woods before. She had time to kill before she had to do her homework. Besides, it was Friday. She didn't need to go back to the dorm to do her homework right away. She had time to do it. Wait, if she lived in a dorm, wouldn't it be dormwork and not homework? Sophie chewed over that thought as she walked through the woods.
The woods were large and vast. Leaves littered the ground and trees stood in her way. She had not walked in a straight path since entering the woods. She had to keep on alternating her route to avoid hitting any trees that invaded her path.
"One step on your own and you walk all over me. One head in the clouds you won't let go, you're too proud. One light to the blind, and they see. One touch on the head, we believe." Sophie silently sang along to the lyrics of Ode by Creed. This wasn't her personal favorite song but it was one of them. She didn't mind listening to any Creed song as long as she heard the deep voice of the lead singer.
Sophie hadn't been paying attention to where she had been going and noticed she was standing at a lake. She hadn't even known she had stopped. She really needed to pay more attention to where she was going. Sophie sat down and leaned against a giant rock that was by the lake. She took out her sketch book and began to sketch the lake and the trees. She was very lost in her music and her drawing, she hadn't noticed the girl doing yoga about fifty feet away from her. She hadn't bothered to look up because Sophie figured no one would come over here.
When she decided to look over her shoulder, Sophie saw a girl leaning against a tree wearing black workout clothes and running shoes. She sucked in her breath at the thought of someone else being here. She wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone. That was part of the reason she came out. Wait, wasn't she always not in the mood to talk to people? Wasn't that part of the reason she was shy? No, bullies. That was why. She imagined them to be everywhere. Every person was a threat to her.
She quickly decided she would try to run out of here undetected. Sophie stuffed her pencils back in her pencil bag, lifted her bag over her shoulder and rest across her body. She held her sketch book close to her like it was acting as a body shield. Sophie watched the girl out of the corner of her eye and attempted to reach the woods before she noticed her.

**************************************************** Annette heard soft footsteps in front of her but she didn't move except to open her eyes a little. She sighed seeing a young girl sat across the clearing she staid sat seeing now nervous the girl was she could smell her fear from across the clearing. This made her stay where she was wondering why she'd come here in the first place if all any one did was run from things they had no control over. She shook her head and looked at the blade of grass she now held in her fingers toying with it not saying a words she could smell fox about the girl and knew they were skittish animals and so just took a deep breath in. " You know if you run from everything, you'll learn nothing" she said her voice soft as if a sound caught on the wind. Slowly she looked up at her her hair blowing out of her eyes as she did like a red flag blowing in the wind her eyes catching the sun as she looked with out moving her head. Slowly she drew her legs up to her body wrapping her arms around them so she could rest her head on them while she waited to see just what the girl would do. Run and hide or take a chance in talking to her. She moved her head up ever so slightly so she could see her better smiling just at the corner of her mouth as she saw the sketch pad held against the girls chest like some medieval chest plate to an unseen suit of Armour and she shook her head gently at the sight. Brushing the cut grass from her legs she failed in what else she could say. Conversation was not her strong point, matter of fact any conversation felt out of place lately. She began picking grass from her legs again tipping her head as she looked at her. "I guess the cat got your tongue, huh" she said now feeling the need to sit back against the tree again now feeling the cool roughness of it against her back as she waited for her to do something, even speak would be something. " I don't bite, usually" she said and chuckled to herself as she placed her arms behind her head and closed her eyes a little to block out some of the sunlight that filtered threw the leaves above her head, she could see the sky was blue and clear as the water she had sen in the lake earlier that day. Moving her legs she now sat cross legged the now warm grass. Her mind went to could the girl talk or was standing there all she could do and she sighed. "Ok, Guess your not in a talking mood" she spoke with out opening her eyes as she felt her self start meditating focusing deeply on her breathing as she felt the warm sun on her reddening cheeks from the heat that hit her now that she sat slightly forward off the tree. **************************************************** TAG: Sophie Jessica Reid WORD COUNT: 515 words OTHERS: Hope its ok for you not much she can do. Sophie has almost reached the woods when she heard a voice through the air. She turned her attention to the girl sitting against the tree. She had spoken just loud enough for Sophie to hear, “You know if you run from everything, you'll learn nothing."
What was she talking about? She wasn’t running away. She was just afraid. She was afraid of the people around her and that they would hurt her. Sophie didn’t trust anyone. The only person she did trust was Stellan and she hadn’t talked to him in days. Maybe she should give up on him. It was obvious he didn’t want to be her friend anymore. Sophie shook her head frustrated with herself because she had grown close to someone and they just dumped her. Again.
"I guess the cat got your tongue, huh?" Cat got her tongue? No, she didn’t want to open up. It was that simple. She could talk if she really wanted to but she didn’t. She didn’t give them the chance to get to know her at all. Maybe that was her biggest downfall. That people don’t get to know her.
Sophie was about to speak again but the girl spoke instead. "I don't bite, usually.[/color] What was up with this girl? She kept on rambling on. Maybe Sophie should just leave. The girl was making her feel uncomfortable. She didn’t feel like she belonged here anymore. She just wanted to get away. Instead of leaving, Sophie stayed rooted in spot. Her sketch book was still in front of her chest like an armor protecting her from the words cutting through her. It hadn’t worked yet, she needed to get better armor. She wanted to desperately move. Move away from this girl who was hurting her without knowing it. She couldn’t move. There was no way she could move from this spot. It was like the earth had sucked up her feet and buried them in the ground. The wind rose and it swept Sophie’s long blonde curls from her face. She caught a scent of something but wasn’t sure what it was. Sophie was about to move when she was frozen in spot again by the girls voice. "Ok, Guess your not in a talking mood." Sophie chewed on the inside of her cheek trying to keep the tears from spilling. This girl didn’t know her. No one here knew her. She just wanted to go back home. Sophie turned her head to the girl. “You don’t know me,” Sophie whispered loud enough for the other girl to hear.
