Noah thought about stuff that he was possibly allergic to. There wasn't much that he knew about, but he guessed if there was something he didn't know about, he would probably find out in the future. Hopefully not a near death experience; the thought of it caused him to shiver. Any thought of himself dying crept him out. ”Well, there's celery, walnuts, and-,” He cut himself off as he realized neither of those were probably going to be put in the dish. He bit his lip as he thought about one that would be particularly useful. ”Um...anchovies. I'm allergic to those.” He hadn't ever had an allergic reaction to lobster before, so he figured that was off the hook.
He nodded in agreement, after hearing what Shigemi said. ”Yeah, I guess I wouldn't like a bully either, even if he knew how to cook.” It wasn't surprising that there were several bullies at the Academy. Especially when they had a big, scary shift that they could use to pick on people with. His ferret shift couldn't really help him if he was going to get attacked by anyone. He relaxed when Shigemi reassured him that there didn't seem to be anybody else around. The kitchen was cooler than the dining room part of it. Honestly he was just lost in the kitchen. Of course when he was pointed in the right direction, he was okay with it. But nobody in their right mind would send him into the kitchen by himself, expecting him to come out of it with anything less than a disaster meal.
He listened to Shi explain what they should do first as he walked around and looked at everything. When he got out the dough that was left over from earlier, he placed it on the counter. Noah walked back over to it and stood beside Shi as he said he would demonstrate how to knead the dough. He watched him for a moment as he showed him how to do it. Noah thought something was always added with dough when cooking, but he couldn't seem to think of a name for it at the moment. He looked up from the dough to Shi who was concentrating on the dough before him. Then his thoughts went back to holding his hand. Noah wasn't really the holding hand type, was he? Well at least he thought that was a type. He hadn't ever held anybody's hand before really.
Actually he tried his best to not have any reason to touch anybody, or at least the least amount that was possible. Now he was confused, because he wanted to touch him more, not less. He wanted to hold his hand again, or just cuddle him. He pushed the confusing thoughts aside and started to copy what Shigemi was doing with the dough, before he realized that he was lost in his thoughts. Noah started out slower since he wasn't so used to doing it. Flour – that's what he thought he was trying to figure out. But he wasn't the cook, so he kept silent. ”Have you always liked to cook?” he asked, keeping his eyes on the dough so he wouldn't mess it up. ”I mean did you realize you liked it when you first got here or since you were a kid?” He hoped it didn't seem like he was prying – he just wanted to know more about him.

There wasn’t anything he was allergic to that he knew of. The only thing that was really wrong with him was that he had a low immune system. This became a pain for him in the winter where everyone got sick. If someone had a cold in the class he had to leave. One little cold could turn into a week fever for him. He took his vitamins and everything but they didn’t seem to help. Though granted he didn’t get sick as often as he did when he was little. So it had to be working somewhat. He wondered if he had some kind of disease destroying his immune system. But the one time he brought it up to his brother he said he didn’t. Though Shigemi wasn’t really sure how Shinya knew that; he didn’t remember ever going to the hospital. Noah talking snapped him out of his thoughts and he looked at the other boy. Shigemi nodded at the foods Noah said. Both of those could actually be put in a dish. If he was creative enough; or the person who thought of the recipe was creative too. Well he knew no walnuts for dissert. “I don’t like walnuts; so we’re good with that one” .Shigemi smiled. Shigemi tilted his head then nodded “I don’t like them either.. So we’re also good with that one” . Shigemi would make a really good effort to remember Noah was allergic to those things. “Okay I will remember those that you are allergic to; Celery, walnuts, and anchovies.” .It was good for Shigemi to know all the things Noah was allergic to for future reference. Shigemi would feel terrible if he put something Noah was allergic to in a dish he made for him. Shigemi knew that saying that he wanted to know all of what Noah was allergic to food wise made him sound like the other boys personal chief. But Shigemi kind of liked the idea of being Noah’s personal chief. Shigemi nodded to Noah’s statement. “Usually when I tell my brother I was bullied he goes and finds that person and bullies them… I don’t like him to do that, but I know he’s only looking out for me. I just wish he wouldn’t get so upset about me getting bullied. I’m getting quite used to it…” .Shigemi started to not tell Shinya that he was bullied. So he wouldn’t see his brother get upset or stress Shinya out. He couldn’t say the bulling had gotten better nor could he say it gotten worse. He was thankful it hadn’t gotten worse. Though he wished he wasn’t getting bullied at all. He was a pacifist, he didn’t want to hurt anyone; granted he didn’t think he could if he wanted to. So it really was a win, win in that case. Shigemi didn’t like to see anyone hurt; even the bullies that hurt him. He knows what it’s like to be hurt; by bullies and life; he didn’t want others to feel the same hurtfulness. Though they did; he knew that but still he wished that could be different. Shigemi would rather take the pain for the whole world than everyone being in pain. Shigemi felt like there was something he was forgetting. He bit his lip trying to remember what it was while he was kneading the dough. He lifted a hand from the dough; it was sticking to his hand. He never remembered it really sticking to his hand before. He let out a sigh; he was a chief he wasn’t supposed to forget things like this. After a moment of thinking and standing still he realized what he was missing. Shigemi would have been fine with Noah telling him they were missing flour. He actually would have smiled cheerfully and thanked him for reminding him. “Oh I forgot something…” .Shigemi wondered over to one of the many cabinets and opened on to find the, sugar, brown sugar, and flour. He picked of the bad of flour and brought it over to the counter where he left Noah. Shigemi rested the flour bag on the counter in front of him. He smiled at Noah “flour; you put it on your hands and the dough so the dough doesn’t stick to you” .You would do the same for cookies if you were making them. You would put the flour on the rolling pin so the cookie dough wouldn’t stick to it. Shigemi opened the bag of flour; he reached in and grabbed a hand full of flour. He took his hand out and rubbed the flour on his hands like soap. The extra flour went onto the dough that was underneath his hands. He smiled at Noah than went back to kneading the dough. After a few moments passed by he looked at the bad of flour and then at Noah. He grinned; he reached into the bag of flour and took some out. Not a handful but enough. He gently threw the flour on Noah and aimed for his shoulder. He didn’t want to aim for his face because he didn’t want Noah to get mad. Though granted Noah would probably be mad he just threw flour on him. “You get bullied?” Noah asked in response to his comments about his brother protecting him. The thought of Shi getting bullied made him sad, but he didn't say anything else about it. There wasn't much that he himself could do about it, but at least Shi had an older brother that could take care of things. Noah, for one, was glad that he didn't have to see the results of that, though. He didn't particularly like violence, but he understood the need for it sometimes. Noah wished everyone was nice, that way neither of them would have to worry about people like that. Even though Shi wasn't particularly like the bigger built guys that you could pretty much look at and tell they could protect you, he still felt safe around him. Not that everyone was out to get him or anything.
“Are you really going to remember the things I'm allergic to?” Nobody ever bothered remembering that stuff, or ever even asking him what he was allergic to. Well, nobody outside of his family at least. Maybe it was because people didn't care or maybe there was just never a reason to ask. He didn't know what anybody else was allergic to either, so he guessed that made them even. Noah continued to knead the dough, not sure when it would be enough and he could stop. He figured Shi would just tell him when he could stop. “It would be really cool if someone made a really big pizza. Like...ten pizzas rolled into one.” At least, if anybody had ever made one that big before, he had never seen it. And he wasn't sure how someone would be able to cook it if it was that big. He stopped what he was doing and looked over at Shi. “Would it be possible to make a pizza that big?”
Besides trying to fit it into an oven or anything like that, it would be extremely heavy with all of it's toppings. And then it would be really hot to get out. His eyes got wide when he thought of something else. “What if someone made a cookie that big? That would be awesome...” Well he could imagine it at least. He went back to kneading the dough while Shi went to find what he was forgetting. He stopped again when he returned with a bag of flour – apparently he was right about needing flour. But he didn't say anything as the boy explained what to do with it and then demonstrated. Once he had flour on his hands, Noah repeated the action and then went back to kneading the dough. The white substance wasn't sticky necessarily, but it was still clinging to his hands. The smell was neutral, though. Neither foul or good smelling.
Noah liked the feeling of the dough, however. He wasn't sure if that was weird or not. It kind of reminded him of putty, which was always fun to play with. But the stuff never smelled good, so he always found it was a good idea to wash his hands afterward. He looked over at Shi just as something hit his shoulder. He was so surprised by it, that he didn't even have time to react. It was easy for him to tell that it was the flour, because the powder was floating in the air. He looked down to find it covering his shoulder and he could feel part of it clinging to his neck and chin. Noah really didn't know what to say about this, so he decided to return the favor. He reached into the bag and enclosed his fingers around the flour. After flinging the handful at him, he ducked behind the counter, using it for cover in case he decided to throw more of it at him.

He wondered if he needed to answer the question Noah had just asked. He didn’t want Noah to worry about him; if he would worry. He doubted Noah would worry about him. Shigemi looked at the ground. Shigemi nodded his head to answer Noah; that’s all he decided to answer with. Most of his lunches end up on the floor and/or on him because of bullies. Shin rarely had the times to get back at the bullies for messing with his brother. Shigemi had started to clean himself up in his dorm when he knew Shin wouldn’t be there, he also cried less than he did when he was younger and he never told his brother the times he was bullied if Shin didn’t ask or wasn’t there. So in the end Shigemi just walked on through the bulling, so that meant Shinya rarely knew about bullies bulling him as far as he knew. Shigemi looked at him and nodded. “As best as I can!” Shigemi hoped he didn’t sound rude or anything. If you could sound rude by saying he would remember what Noah was allergic to. “Well of course.. If.. If you want me too” Shigemi started to hum, content with what he was doing and talking to Noah. He seemed most content talking to Noah. Usually he would space out when talking to people and even sometimes with his brother. But when he talked to Noah he paid attention. Something about Noah’s voice that he liked; he hoped he would always be able to listen to it. Shigemi giggled at Noah’s thought. “That would be a really big pizza. I don’t think I have the concentration span to make one that big.” Shigemi bit his lower lip. “I wouldn’t doubt people probably tried. There’s always something going on around the world people are trying to achieve.” Shigemi couldn’t say he was one of those people. He just wanted his own little restaurant and cooking show. “I wouldn’t doubt that it wouldn’t be possible. I’m sure someone tried to make a pizza that big or close to it or maybe even bigger. The world can surprise you in many different ways.” Even though they were talking about something completely random his words were quite intelligent and inspirational. Shigemi looked at Noah and smiled. “That would be awesome. You know I think there’s a book with the greatest world records for doing something. Maybe it would have something about the biggest pizza or cookie. If not we can always look at other record books.” He blinked at Noah and then went back to kneading the dough. As he kneaded the dough he thought of something. “You know there is this one place that sells big cookies; like cake sized cookies. Well not as thick but as big. We should look for that place and get a cake cookie to eat.“ Shigemi giggled as a picture of them eating the cake cookie thing. “I doubt we would be able to eat all of it!” Another idea came to mind “If we don’t finish it we can give some to friends, or to people less fortunate than us.” He was sure the less fortunate would be grateful. By less fortunate he didn’t quite mean homeless people. He tried to think of the friends he could give some to. There was of course his brother, and Jake, and maybe even Dymetri. Though he didn’t really see Dymetri as a friend per say but it wouldn’t hurt sharing something with him; at least food wise. Shigemi also liked the dough; though it reminded him of playing with play dough when he was younger much younger. He missed playing with the substance; he had to remember to maybe pick some up the next time he was at the store. Though you could do more with play dough than actual dough and Dough wasn’t for playing with. Shigemi looked over at Noah to see how he was doing. He kind of pretended that he didn’t hit the other boy with flour; though it did not work at all. Shigemi sneezed at the powdery substance hit his nose. He sniffed; and wiped away some of the flour of his face or at least tried to. Yes the flour had hit the side of his face. He wasn’t mad and it didn’t hurt; he was just surprised. Shigemi blinked; he took of his glasses and wiped them clean. He looked around for Noah and spotted his shoelace. Shigemi smiled; he was hiding behind the counter. He grabbed some of the flour from the bag and quietly walked over to the edge of the counter. He bent over the counter’s edge and saw Noah. He stretched his hand over the counter and let go of the flour. He backed away from the counter grabbing another hand full of flour from the bag and ducked behind the counter on the opposite side. [/IMG] It was typical for people that were different from others to get bullied. Noah didn't think it really made much sense, because there were a lot of different people out there. But for bullies, it was like they only picked on those that were a lot different than they were. At least by appearance they seemed to be different from them. In actual reality, they probably had some stuff in common. Of course he was too afraid to see if he had anything in common with bullies, since stuff like that really didn't matter to them. Noah really wasn't sure what kind of things that did matter to them. ”Okay, if it isn't a bother.” He had wanted to tell him that he could if he wanted to, but since Shi had just told him that he would if he he wanted him to, he didn't think that would solve anything. But he didn't mind reminding him in the future either, if Shi cooked for them again. He wasn't so sure that it would happen very often, but he couldn't exactly predict the future.
Noah suddenly noticed something that had been bugging him at the back of his mind, but he couldn't pinpoint it. It was annoying, because he couldn't figure it out, until now. Usually some people would tease him about his accent, but Shigemi hadn't said anything about it. He didn't know if it was good or bad, but he was sure he had noticed it. Not that he needed compliments on it or anything like that. He was fine with nobody teasing him about it, though. Noah nodded at his words; the world was huge and there was no way to know everything everyone else had done. For all they knew, huge pizzas were a specialty in some other country. ”I don't think they could make a really big pizza here,” he said, more to convince himself, as he looked around the room.
”Really? Greatest World Records? Maybe the library has one.” Now that it had been mentioned, he wanted to look it up and see what the biggest pizza or biggest cookie ever made was. They already had quite a bit of things planned, though so it would have to wait until later on down the road. It surprised him that they did, because he never really made plans with people. Not very often at least. ”Do you think there's a place like that here on the island? Or the other island?” He hadn't been on the other island before; he didn't want to go alone and there hadn't been anybody else for him to ask to go with him. So he had just stayed here on the island. And it worked for awhile, but eventually he would get bored enough to go over there on his own if he had to. Perhaps Shi would go with him one day. One day when they didn't already have several things to do.
Noah also pictured the big cookie cake food; the image that appeared in his mind was funny and a bit messy as well. He nodded at the idea of giving it away, although he had no friends to actually give it to. Not unless he got less shy in time to make friends before they got a cookie cake food. After their little fling of flour at one another, he had taken refuge behind the counter, but it proved to not be a very good place to hide. Noah looked up to see Shi clutching the flour over his head. He closed his eyes just in time before the flour hit his face, but he shook it off and took a handful of the flour and went around behind the counter. Without looking to see if he was still there, he flung it around the corner. He stood up for more flour, when he realized that he had forgotten to close his mouth a moment ago, and the flour had gotten inside. His face screwed up in disgust at the taste of the flour alone. Noah wiped his hands on his jeans and tried to wipe the flour off of his tongue, which was really just replaced with what flour was still on his hands. ”Yuck,” he mumbled, now fully aware that flour by itself did not taste good.

It was also a big trait in himself. Noah was also really nice and he smelled good. He blushed just thinking about Noah smelling good. Though he believe he had already stated Noah smelled good, or maybe not; he didn’t remember. He also couldn’t forget that Noah was really cute; this also made him blush more. He was hoping Noah wouldn’t notice him blushing. He didn’t want to have to explain why he was blushing, that would just make him feel awkward and it would be embarrassing. Shigemi looked at Noah, he was also thoughtful “It’s not a bother at all.” He smiled warmly. Shigemi was glad he answered his question then saying ‘if it’s what you want to do.’ It always confused him when someone said something like this. He didn’t know what he should do; should he do it or shouldn’t he do it? He didn’t want to do anything the other person didn’t want so it just confused him. Shigemi just noticed Noah had an accent. Shigemi thought it made Noah cuter. His accent was a really cute, it wasn’t a thick accent but it was still cute. He wondered what kind of accent it was. He was never good at guessing someone’s accent. He didn’t even know much about the different accents and what they sounded like so how could he guess someone’s accent? He bit his lip wondering if it would be rude to ask about it. “Hrm.. Hey what kind of accent do you have?” that was the most blunt he has ever been or at least with Noah as of yet. Shigemi winced remembering that Noah might not like his accent and it would have been rude to ask. “I’m sorry if asking you about your accent offended you or I was rude in anyway…” Shigemi took a deep breath; it was probably nothing anyway. Shigemi looked at Noah and nodded. “I don’t think they could either, but hey you never know.” One thing he had learned was to not assume too many things for you could always end up wrong. That is why he tried to keep an opened mind about everything and everyone. His brother was a great example of this. Despite Shinya’s rough exterior he had a smooth interior. Meaning he was mean on the outside but nice on the inside. If anyone didn’t agree with him on that than they didn’t know his brother at all and the people who didn’t agree with not assuming things or judging people before they know the person probably were mean or closed off from possibilities. Shigemi was always surprised by people; like really shy people could be really, really smart people and most of the time nerdy looking people had the best hearts and motives. Shigemi nodded; he agreed with Noah. The library had to have had one. Shigemi remembered all the things they had already planned to do. He had the same thoughts Noah did about it. He bit his lower lip, he had an idea “Hey! I can ask brother if he could look for the book at the library the next time he goes. He goes to the library quite often so I don’t think it will be much trouble for him to find it and take it out for us. That is if you’re okay with it…” He wasn’t sure if Noah wanted to go to the library to find it himself and by himself. Shigemi wasn’t one for going to libraries; he wasn’t much of a book person. He didn’t have the imagination for it. He wasn’t even sure he would read any of his brother’s work if they were ever published. He knew how to read of course he just thought it was boring. This actually made him wonder if Shinya became a famous author would any of his books become movies? If so Shigemi would watch the movie; or well maybe not; because his brother was more of a horror or romance writer, maybe the romance movies depending on what kind of content it had in it. Noah’s words brought him out of his thoughts. He turned to Noah and blinked “I don’t think there are any here on this island unless it’s in the mall. I’m not sure about the other island. I will have to ask my brother what the store was called and google it to see if there’s any places here.” Shigemi hoped he didn’t get any flour in Noah’s eyes. He would feel very bad if he did. He was also the one who started the flour fight so he would feel even worse. It would be all his fault; maybe he shouldn’t have started it, maybe he shouldn’t have even thought about doing it. He was about to ask Noah if he was oaky and didn’t get any flour in his eyes when he saw flour flying toward him. He closed his eyes and covered his face but despite him cover his face he still got flour on it. He smiled, though he had been worried about Noah that last minute he was having fun and his worries had faded because Noah had threw flour at him which meant to Shigemi he was okay. Or at least that’s what he thought. Shigemi sneezed, it wasn’t a loud sneeze but it wasn’t a small one either. By the time the sneeze had passed and him rubbing his nose the powder in the air had floated down to the ground. Shigemi smiled; he still had the flour in his hand. He saw Noah stand up and threw the flour in his hand. He wasn’t sure if it would reach Noah. [/IMG] He was a bit surprised when Shigemi asked him about his accent. Maybe it was because he just realized that he hadn't noticed it before. Or perhaps it was because he asked straight to the point, and since they had been talking, he hadn't really done that before. But it didn't seem like he thought it was funny or anything, so he figured there wasn't any harm in answering. ”It's British English,” he explained, leaving it short and to the point. He didn't really feel like going into detail about his childhood at the moment, and it wasn't as if the boy had asked him to. He just wanted to know why kind of accent he was. He shouldn't go and do something stupid, like spilling his history to him. Nobody really knew anything about his history, because he never bothered to tell anybody about it. He figured nobody would be interested in it, and it really wasn't all that interesting to tell. ”Don't worry. It doesn't offend me.”
Noah smiled and nodded when Shigemi offered to get his brother to look in the library. He had met Shin one time, but they didn't really talk or anything. Shin had gone with them to Dymi's house and Noah, being shy and all, stuck as close to Shigemi as possible without trying to seem like a creepy person in the process. Not that they were all that close, but during that time they had just met not too long ago. So it would have been even worse for him to have been clinging to him like he had done earlier on their way to the cafeteria. ”That would be great... if he wouldn't mind doing it.” He didn't just want to assume that Shin wanted to get that book for him.
He wasn't sure if Shigemi would remember to ask his brother about the name of the store or not, but he didn't really want him to do more work for that. He couldn't bring it up again anyways at the moment, because he was too busy trying to keep from getting hit with flour, which he was failing miserably at. In Noah attempt to rid his taste buds of the yucky flour, Shigemi decided to take advantage of a bigger target. He dropped to the floor in time to dodge the flour and waited for a few seconds. In order to get to the bag, he would have to stand back up. He didn't think that was a good idea just yet. While sitting there, his stomach began to growl. Well that only left one thing to do. He stood back up and raised his hands up in defeat. ”Okay, I give up. You win.”
Now he realized how much of a mess they had made. The counter was covered with flour, along with most of the floor surrounding the counter. At least it was mostly contained in that one little area. Most of him was still clean, except for part of his shirt, his shoulders, his face, and his hair. He laughed at the flour that was on Shigemi as well. The flour on their hair made them look like their hair was already turning white and they weren't even that old yet. He noticed a mirror hanging on a wall; he wanted Shigemi to see the mess on himself. Biting his lip, he reached over and grabbed his hand and lead him over to the mirror.
Noah wanted to be nice and help him clean the flour off, even though Shi was the one who started the flour fight. He sucked in a deep breath as he reached up to brush it off his shirt. At first he hesitated, wondering if it would make him feel uncomfortable, but then proceeded to sweep the flour off his shirt. He couldn't help but stare, hardly blinking, as he brushed at it. As he moved over to his chest area, he blushed and pulled his hand away as he desperately tried to find a distraction, before his mind started registering things. Such as the feeling of touching him, even if only a brief moment. ”So..um. What do we do next with the food?”

He really did like his accent; it sounded really cute. Shigemi was glad the question didn’t offend Noah. He would have felt terrible if it did and he would have probably put himself in the corner to punish himself for not thinking. “It’s… Nice! Like nice sounding… I wish I had an accent..” he had hesitated because he was going to say cute but realized what he was about to say and how awkward it would have been. ’Noah is from England?’ he didn’t know that. Shigemi wondered if he had an accent. He did just grew up in New York, not in a country with a different language; though he was born in Japan. But he wondered if he had an accent to Noah since he spoke a different language, he also wondered if he was to learn British would he have an accent to Noah? Did it work like that? “Hey would I have an accent to you if I learned the language?” It was just a random question that had came to mind. He wasn’t sure if he even wanted to learn a different language. Shigemi knew that Shinya wouldn’t mind looking for the book for Noah. Even if Noah had asked Shinya himself he knew his brother still wouldn’t mind getting the book. Shigemi knew his brother well enough to know that going to the library was one of his favorite pass times. His brother would probably have something to get at the library anyway. It would also give Shigemi a reason to ask Shinya to look for a movie for him to watch when he had nothing better to do. “Don’t worry, he won’t mind at all. He always goes to the library. He would even go to the library on the other island too; mostly I think he goes just to get me movies… So I’m sure he wouldn’t mind getting the book.” If Shinya didn’t want to get the book then he would go to the library to get it. He was also curious what the records were. Shigemi wasn’t sure he would remember to ask either. But he was going to make a big effort in trying to remember. Though he was sure he wouldn’t forget something like that. He was always making cookies for him and Shinya; Shinya had a sweet tooth. He was surprised neither of them had any cavities. They probably didn’t have cavities because they brushed their teeth. Shigemi saw that Noah had dropped to the floor dodging the flour. Shigemi’s stomach started to growl and he looked at the dough; they didn’t get very far in making the pizza. Before Shigemi could say anything or do anything Noah stood up and said that he won. Shigemi blinked surprised; he wondered if Noah was just as hungry as he was. “You hungry too?” was the only words that came out of his mouth. He wasn’t even smiling that he had won. Winning at anything wasn’t important to him; it was having fun that most counted to him. Shigemi looked at their mess; he had a very strong urge to clean it up right there and then. The flour was all over the counter and floor; he couldn’t believe he had made such a mess. Though he had help but it was him who started it. Shigemi started to walk over to the counter but before he could start cleaning anything Noah grabbed his hand leading him somewhere. But all he wanted to do was clean the mess. He looked behind him at the mess but he didn’t say anything to Noah about letting him go so he could clean. Noah stopped in front of the mirror; Shigemi looked at himself. He was a mess, all covered in flour. Now he wanted to clean himself off just as much as he wanted to clean the flour on the floor and counter. Noah seemed to think it was funny; Shigemi looked at himself once more in the mirror and did see how funny he looked all covered in flour. “I look like a ghost” he said as he giggled. He looked at Noah and saw he was just as messy. “You look like one too!” he brushed some of the flour off of Noah’s shoulder. Noah started to brush flour off him; Shigemi blushed as the other boy tried to clean the flour off him. Shigemi started to do the same, brushed the flour of his shoulders as Noah brushed it off his. Shigemi looked intently at his hands as he brushed the flour off Noah’s shoulders. When Shigemi brushed off all the flour he could off the other boy’s shoulders he went to Noah’s hair. He gently ran his fingers through Noah’s hair trying to take the flour off. He was blushing even more now. Noah’s hair was soft and felt like silk, though he never felt silk so that was a poor simile. Shigemi felt Noah’s hands on his chest and blushed even more. Noah had stopped and so had he. Shigemi even took a step back because he was a bit embarrassed. Shigemi looked at the dough and walked toward it. Trying not to look at the mess for it would just make him want to clean it and if he started to clean now they would never get their food to fill their tummies. Shigemi put the dough’s together and started to knead it with his hands. “Uh.. well once I’m done we have to put it on a pizza pan. Then we spread it out on the pizza pan and put the stuff on it and then it goes in the oven.” Shigemi has yet to perfect him spinning the pizza in his hands to spread it and he wasn’t going to try it in front of Noah. Shigemi went into one of the many cabinets and took out the pizza pan; he then placed it on the counter where the dough was. He took the dough and placed it on the pizza pan and started spreading it. He left Noah enough room to help if he so wanted to. Shigemi looked at Noah and smiled; a gesture to show Noah he didn’t mind the other boy’s help. [/IMG] Noah never really thought about his accent, because to him he didn't really have one. It was everyone else that had one. But he was used to hearing everyone talk, that he had pretty much gotten used to it. He only kept his accent, because he spent so much time talking to his family back in Greenwich. He was a firm believer in keeping in touch with relatives, so he did it very often. Noah shrugged at his question. ”I don't think so. If you learned another language, I definitely wouldn't be able to understand you..” He was not very fluent in other languages. It had taken him awhile just to learn English, since he didn't talk very often. But he had talked quite a bit since hanging around Shigemi.
Noah nodded and smiled. ”Well, in that case it would be really nice of him to pick it up so we can look up the record.” Now that they had ended their little flour match, they could get back to cooking the pizza. Even though Shigemi had said they wouldn't mind them making food in there, he was afraid someone would come back there and get mad at them. Especially since they had made a mess already, but he figured you couldn't get around it when making food. He nodded again when Shigemi asked him if he was hungry. ”Yeah, just a bit.” Even though he made it sound like he wasn't too hungry, his stomach was saying otherwise. He ignored it for the moment, while they surveyed themselves in the mirror and got some of the flour off of them. He didn't want it to be tracked all over the place when they had to leave the kitchen.
”We do look like ghosts,” he agreed, observing himself in the mirror. Noah had never gotten very physical with other people, even for something as simple as brushing flour off of them. So it was quite weird when he started brushing Shi off, and he returned the favor, by brushing the flour off that was on his clothes. He knew it was his fault, though because he had started it. But he just wanted to help. He closed his eyes when Shi tried to get the flour out of his hair and when he was done he opened them again. His stomach reminded him once again that he was hungry and he followed Shigemi back over to the dough. At least they would have something to do while they were waiting for the pizza to get out of the oven.
They could just clean up the mess and nobody would ever know they were there, right? He allowed Shi to knead the dough together, unsure of whether he wanted him to help or not. Noah wanted to ask him where the pizza pan was so that he could help without being in the way, but before he could get it out, Shi stopped kneading the dough and went to get it himself. When he returned from the cabinet, Noah noticed the big pizza pan. Well, it was a regular sized pizza pan, but for him it was pretty big. He watched him spread out the dough on the pan and then he smiled, leaving him room to join in. Noah bit his lip and then hesitantly sidled over to him and helped him spread it out.
”It's really awesome that you know how to cook all of this stuff. There's so much to remember..” He paused as he focused on the dough. When he stopped, he added, ”Not so much with the pizza, but with other dishes...the more complicated ones.” He didn't want to sound like an idiot, as if he couldn't retain the information on how to make something as simple as pizza. Noah looked down at the flour on the counter and used his forefinger to draw a smiley face in it. Might as well give it more of a purpose, since it could no longer be cooked with.

Shigemi wouldn’t mind learning another language but what troubled him was when was he going to use it. Shigemi wondered if Noah would want to learn another language other than the ones he knows already. Shigemi wanted to ask but it seemed Noah wasn’t too interested in the subject so he left it. Shigemi also wondered if Noah knew any other languages but left it also. Shigemi bit his lower lip trying to think of another subject for them to talk about but couldn’t think of anything. Shigemi wondered if he should bring up the weather but he thought that was a lame subject. Shigemi nodded to Noah’s statement about his brother. He didn’t have anything else to say about it. “Yeah I can’t wait to see what the record is” Shigemi smiled, he wondered what the record was. Shigemi hoped no one would come in and see the mess they made. He was sure they would be mad if they saw the mess. Though it was worth it if he did get in trouble; though he wouldn’t want Noah to get in trouble for something he started and thought of. Shigemi bit his lip and glanced at Noah. But all he could do was hope someone didn’t come in and see the mess they made. Shigemi’s stomach growled a bit, he was hungry and so was Noah. “Alright! Let’s get back to making the pizza.” Shigemi looked at the mess then at Noah “Uh.. I need to clean before we leave here..” He didn’t think Noah should clean since he wasn’t the one who started it. It was Shigemi’s idea not Noah’s, Shigemi should clean not him. Shigemi smiled and then hugged Noah. “uh… I’m sorry for er... First throwing flour at you…” Shigemi wanted to add that Noah didn’t have to worry about the mess and he would clean everything. It was a wonder he wasn’t cleaning the mess now. But he was a making a big afford not to clean at this moment. He hoped Noah wasn’t mad at him, for it was his fault that there was flour all over the place including on them. Noah didn’t seem upset but that didn’t mean he wasn’t. Shigemi bit his lower lip he wanted to say sorry again but didn’t know how to word it “I.. I’m sorry..” Shigemi saw that they were done with spreading out the dough so he went into the fridge to get the red sauce and the freezer to get the cheese. “Uh is there any other topping you want on the pizza?” Shigemi went back to the counter where he left Noah and placed the sauce and cheese down. He then went to get two spoons to spread the sauce. He poured some sauce onto the dough and started spreading it. He left room for Noah to help too. After they were done with the sauce Shigemi took the bag of shredded cheese and placed it between him and Noah and started to put the cheese on. Shigemi looked at Noah and blushed. “I guess it’s easy really… I guess it would be the same thing for actors or singers and stuff… I don’t know how I really remember them… I just do.. But your right it is a lot to remember.” Shigemi blinked, he didn’t think he had ever asked what Noah’s major was nor did Noah say anything about it. Shigemi bit his lower lip; “Uh… if you don’t mind me asking what is your major? I don’t think I have ever asked before…” That or he forgot and if he did he would feel really bad about it. He would probably put himself in the corner if Noah did tell him what his major was. [/IMG] To Noah it felt like it was taking ages for them to finish the food. The flour fight had been fun, but now he was even more hungry than he had been before. He couldn't wait to eat, but he wanted to be patient too. When Shigemi announced that he needed to clean up the mess before they left, Noah looked at him. ”I'll help.” He did help make the mess after all, so he thought it was only fair for him to help. Noah blushed a bit at the unexpected hug and apology for throwing the flour at him. He quickly recovered and returned the smile after the apology. He didn't want Shigemi to feel bad for something like that, especially since they had been able to have a little bit of fun while cooking.
Not that the cooking itself wasn't fun or anything. But he knew Shi might feel bad if he didn't say anything. ”It's alright.. it was fun!” He couldn't say the same thing for cleaning, but he didn't mind doing it since he was helping. He was pretty sure there was also a saying which stated that you shouldn't mess up anything you didn't want to clean. Or at least you shouldn't make a mess if you weren't planning on cleaning it up, because how many people really wanted to clean? Noah waited for Shi to return from the refrigerator, which didn't take him long. He came back carrying a jar of tomato sauce and cheese for the pizza. Noah usually just preferred to keep his topping simple, so he was more than happy just to leave it the way it was being made. He would eat it with other toppings too sometimes, but he didn't like to pile it full of stuff, where the toppings were falling off the pizza.
Noah just shook his hand in answer when Shigemi asked him about other toppings. Adding more toppings would just prolong the wait for it to cook before they could eat it. He figured the smell of the pizza would be torture enough without adding more waiting time to the picture. He picked up the spoon that Shi had gotten for him and helped spread out the sauce on the dough. Each step made it look more and more like pizza and it wasn't even cooked yet! He let Shi spread on the cheese, since he knew it would only take a minute and was easier if he just let him do it himself.
”I suppose you're right. It helps if you're a natural at it too.” Like some people grew up cooking and realized they had a natural talent for it; some people were born with a good sounding voice and could sing naturally. But he had caught glimpses of the shows where people sang, like American Idol and the related. He figured everyone had to practice, though and get better. ”Theatre Studies,” he answered lightly, looking down at the pizza. He hadn't really noticed that they hadn't talked about his major before, but he didn't think there was much to tell at this point. ”So do we get to cook the pizza now?” he asked excitedly, looking up at Shi. He pushed his hair from his eyes so he could see him better.

He didn’t want Noah to feel like he had to clean; but he wasn’t going to push it. He wasn’t sure if he was glad for the help or not. When it came to cleaning it had to be done perfect for him to be satisfied. Shigemi was quite hungry himself but that’s not saying much with him. He actually just wanted to get the cleaning and baking the pizza done and over with so they could eat the pizza then go back to the dorms. He hoped his brother wasn’t worrying about him; but he hadn’t gotten a text from Shinya so Shigemi wasn’t too worried about it. But Shinya wouldn’t text him if he was worried unless he was really worried. Shigemi hoped Shinya wasn’t paying attention to the time and was reading or something. Shigemi was glad that he hadn’t upset Noah in anyway. Shigemi nodded and smiled “Eh.. I’m glad you had fun then” Shigemi didn’t think the cleaning would be fun but it was something he just had to do. He just has this urge to clean things that were dirty or that wasn’t clean enough to his standards. Though the less dirty something was the less of an urge he had to clean it and vice versa, if something was really dirty he would have way more of an urge to clean it. Shigemi couldn’t stand things being dirty. Shigemi nodded at Noah’s answer to him wanting another topping or not. “Okay!” It made Shigemi’s task a bit easier. So when they got done with the sauce and the cheese he can just throw it in the oven. Shigemi really didn’t like a lot of topping on his pizza either and if there were toppings it would be a vegetable or pineapple. Before Shigemi put the cheese on it he went to the oven and turned it on. He should have put it on earlier but he had forgotten. He let the oven preheat while he did the cheese. Shigemi smiled at the uncooked pizza they just finished putting the toppings on the dough. “Alright now we can cook it!” Shigemi had finished putting on the cheese; he looked at Noah he didn’t help but he didn’t see it as any big deal. Shigemi put the pizza in the oven and walked back over to Noah. “Yeah I guess it does help if you are a natural or have a passion for it.” Shigemi loved cooking and wouldn’t dream of doing anything else. “Oh that’s so cool. That must be a really fun major” Shigemi smiled at the boy. Shigemi thought Noah’s major was very cool. “Have you been in any plays?” Shigemi wouldn’t mind going to see a play with Noah in it. He would even love to see the boy in action. Shigemi took out cleaning supplies, sponges, a mop, cleaning soap, and other cleaning stuff. “Okay, I guess we can clean up while we wait for the pizza” Shigemi now wondered if it was such a good idea to start the flour fight. But he thought it was worth it if they didn’t get in trouble. He took one of the sponges and started to wash the counter. [/IMG] Noah was having a lot of fun hanging out with Shigemi. He wondered if he was now allowed to call Shigemi his friend, considering they seemed to be having fun hanging out together. He didn't have any other friends at the school. Not that he had really been trying very hard to make any. He wasn't so sure that he could call the people he briefly interacted with in class as friends either. ”I think people are more willing to learn about something if they actually like it.” At least he knew that it was hard for him to learn something, if he didn't have an interest in it. Noah assumed that was how it was for everyone else, but then he did always think he was kind of weird. Maybe that was all in his head, though. Nobody else had said anything to him – at least not to his face.
Noah nodded and smiled when Shigemi said that his major was cool. He guessed it really didn't fit him, for the type of person that he was. But he just felt different when he was on stage than he did when he wasn't. ”I've been in a few, but a lot of them were from when I was younger. I hope that I can join one of the plays here at the school next year,” he said while he watched Shigemi get out the cleaning supplies. ”Okay.” Well if Shigemi was going to start cleaning during the cooking, then he would help him. They did both make the mess, after all. And it would distract them from the pizza cooking in the oven, even though he was sure the smell would ruin that.
Noah watched as Shigemi took out one of the sponges and started with the counter. He really did think Shi was cute and he did like him. But he couldn't really figure out why. They hadn't known each other for a very long time, but he didn't know if that mattered or not. He blushed at the thought and quickly set to work on cleaning up around the mirror where they had brushed some of the flour off of themselves. ”Do you shift very often?” he asked randomly, to distract himself from his previous thoughts. He didn't look over at him when he asked this, because he was afraid he would find himself staring at him again. ”I haven't really seen many other people shift before.” At least it looked to him like a lot of the people at the school didn't shift very often. Or perhaps they just did it where he wasn't at.
”Um..sorry if that's a personal question,” he apologized, after having a quick thought that maybe it was more personal than it seemed. It didn't seem like it to him, but people had different views on personal questions, didn't they? He knelt on the floor as he diligently worked on getting the flour up. It was probably be best to mop the whole thing at once, so they didn't miss anything. ”Do you have any nicknames?” He didn't know why he was asking all of these random questions. Maybe just to make a conversation. Or maybe he was still trying to distract himself, he didn't know. Or curiosity. Maybe for all three reasons.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - CAN WE PRETEND THAT AIRPLANES IN THE NIGHT SKY ARE LIKE SHOOTING STARS CAUSE I COULD REALLY USE A WISH RIGHT NOW - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Shigemi was having fun hanging out with Noah too. He kind of even wished they were still cuddling together in Noah’s dorm. But the flour fight they had was fun and cooking the pizza was also fun. He couldn’t say Noah was his only friend; but Shigemi didn’t have many friends. He only counted two that he knew of, maybe more if you count the people he had met on the schools chat. Speaking of the chat he hadn’t been on it in quite some time. Though his brother has been going on it to see who was on and who wasn’t. Shigemi thought that there was a certain person he was looking for. Shigemi thought it might have been the girl Shigemi befriended and who Shinya had a crush on. She had disappeared; he wondered how Shinya took that. He seemed fine but Shigemi knew Shinya didn’t show his true feelings. Shigemi’s thoughts were interrupted by Noah talking; which he didn’t mind. He actually liked hearing Noah talk, maybe it was his voice or something. Shigemi just liked to listen; he could really do it all day with Noah and just stare at him. Though that would be awkward he knew that… That might also make Noah uncomfortable so it was something Shigemi will have to avoid. Shigemi nodded without looking at Noah. “I agree; I think if you want to learn it than it would make it so much easier because you have that drive to learn about it. If you don’t have that drive it seems like it so much harder. But we just make it harder or easier to learn really…” He wasn’t quite sure what he said made sense. He knew that one subject didn’t change from being easier to harder by itself. Shigemi looked around at the other things that needed to be cleaned. The floor will have to be mopped and other than that it really was only the counters and themselves that needed to be cleaned and the mirror which Noah seemed to be cleaning. Shigemi didn’t think his major would fit him either. If you looked all the things Shigemi was scared of; he was a big scaredy cat. Cooking was dangerous in it’s on way; you would think Shigemi would go for a major that was safer than cooking. In the past few years he’s been cooking he had gotten his cuts and burns but that never stopped him from cooking. He liked it way too much to stop cooking because of how dangerous it can be; not to mention he tries not to think about how dangerous it can be. “Oh that’s really cool. I never been in a play and I haven’t seen one either… If you get to be in a play in the school I would like to see you in it; if that’s alright with you..” Shigemi started to blush and he wasn’t quite sure why either. Shigemi was almost done with the counter he was working on. Noah had asked a really random question; though Shigemi didn’t mind he could be random at times also. He was kind of glad he wasn’t the only one who was random. Shigemi thought about the question; in ways it was a personal question and in others it wasn’t. “Hmm.. After I first shifted me and my brother would shift all the time. We have a forest in the back of our house so it was an easy place for us to shift without others seeing us… But we stopped when our mother became really ill and soon after I became just as sick… We were fifteen when this happened.. Or going to be turning fifteen… So about two years we sifted often.. We never really got back into shifting after I got better… So I guess to answer your question as of now no I don’t shift often..” that was a long answer for a simple question. But he thought it would be better to answer in this way. Noah wanted to get to know him more he figured this would be a better answer than a simple no. Shigemi also figured Noah would find out about him being an orphan and his adoptive mother dying sooner or later. Shigemi looked at Noah and watched as the boy cleaned near the mirror. “Don’t worry about it being personal questions.. I’m happy to answer them.” Though he wasn’t sure why; but with Noah he was happy to answer them. He wanted Noah to get to know him more even if that was telling the other boy about his horrible past. “So how about you? Do you shift often?” He figured if Noah could ask the question he could too. He kind of missed shifting; he wondered if Shinya would mind getting back into it. “Though I’m kind of scared shifting on this island… With all the carnivore shifts…” If he shifted with Shinya then Shigemi wouldn’t have to worry about being eaten with a fourteen hundred pound polar bear by his side. Shigemi was surprised at Noah’s question he kind of wondered where it came from. “Hmm I have quite a few… But you can call me anything you want to… People tend to make nicknames out of my name, like Shi… A few people call me Shi.” Shinya tended to call him kitty or kitty kat or even Pikachu when they were alone like in their dorm room. “what about you? Do you have any nicknames?” If Noah didn’t he would defiantly find him one. Shigemi was done cleaning they counters and went on to mopping the floor. Shigemi always had fun mopping floors. He didn’t know why; he thought it was strange.
