.static.flickr.com/4127/4978262288_25e11928d1_t.jpg"] .x. A release. That was always all she needed right now. Kali would take it in anyway she could. A large grin was tilting the corners of her pale pink lips as she strolled past the bouncer at the door. Ever since the first night she‘d come to the island, she‘d spent most of her weekend nights with her friends at the club. He knew exactly who she was. Brushing past the dramas standing around; arguments and voices of attractions ringing as she rushed by the bodies of other shifters. She wore a simple one shouldered, black cocktail dress with a pair of strappy black heels. No jacket needed just yet, the nights here where still balmy and warm. Her brown hair was messy, curling down below her shoulder blades. The beat of the music she could feel even in the soles of her feet, vibrant colors fluttered and flashed through the shadowed and smoky building. Turning to her right, Kali pushed and shoved her way into the main dance floor; her body already rocked and moved with the beat.
Finding a good opening in the crowd, Kali and her friends began to dance in rhythm to a mix of Kid Cudi’s Memories. Hips swaying, heeled feet maintaining balance as other sweaty bodies bumped and grinded around her. This distraction was good. The heavy sound echoed in her brain, taking up enough space that her other issues and anxieties couldn’t overpower her emotions. Masses of homework had been overcome in a rather slow and long couple of hours. The phone call to her family alerted her to some issues at home, but neither her mother, father or brother would discuss it. Her girlfriends all wanted to come here to meet up with guys they where either seeing or flirting around with at the school. It was difficult for Kali not to get jealous, she’d hadn’t had a flirt since she’d come to the island, and some days she really wanted that male attention.
However, right now was not the time to come force himself upon her. A guy around her age had pressed his lanky sweating body against her back, his hands clinging to her hips, pulling her closer. With an irritated huff, Kali pushed away from his hands, but still his grubby hands gripped her against him. Pushing again, she rose her voice above the din, “Dude, back off!” The guy apparently hadn‘t heard her and kept pressing their bodies tighter together. Her heart began to race and pump adrenaline through her veins. As a human she would have either fought or flown from the situation, but being a hunter in her shifted form, Kali would always fight. The clouded leopard inside raged against her control, fighting and clawing against the barrier with all her might. A low growl emerged from her chest as she turned in his grasp and pushed away hard. “I said back off!” The guy regained his equilibrium and a look of enraged embarrassment settled across his features. Striding toward her, he had this fanatic gleam in his eye that made Kali about scream. She held her ground firmly, and prepared herself physically and mentally; praying someone would notice her predicament.

Your arms like towers tower over me. • • • We are broken,• • •
What must we do to restore our • • •innocence?• • •Man... Anthony hadn't been inside of Erosion in what had felt like ages. He wasn't a particularly obnoxiously social person, so for him to wind up at a club was a rare feat. Well. Not to say he wasn't social, for he certainly was, but his personality tended to be an acquired taste. Some people found it appealing, fun, even likeable sometimes. Most? Nah. Brash, annoying, and undesirable to the mass majority. People just weren't his thing, per say, which was just fine with the boy. The friends that he did have were few and far between, but they were the sort he could depend on for sure. At the end of the day, what more could you possibly need? Standing outside of the club, hands stuffed into his jean pockets, his chin was pointed upwards at a slant as his intensely blue eyes peered up at the flashing sign that held the club's name. It's neon lights blared brightly into the temperate air, giving off a slight glow to all that was nearby. Anthony wasn't exactly clad in 'club clothes' for the evening like he normally would have been whenever the male could be bothered to show up here. Just a simple white polo that was a semi button down along his collar bone that framed his abdomen rather nicely. Equally simple black jeans with a white thread stitch hugged his waist line comfortably before stretching down the length of each of his legs into a straight leg.
Yeah, he definitely wasn't going to be turning heads tonight.
Which was fine. Tony wasn't in his usual 'Watch Me Do Stupid Stuff 'Cause I Can' mood at this particular moment, so blending in with the crowd would be fine with him. Stepping in past the bouncer who didn't give him a second glance, Tony felt as if he'd been smacked upside the head with the blaring of the bass and flashing of the lights. Massive amounts of people swayed and danced amongst themselves and against others, pulsating the music right through their bodies. He'd forgotten how crowded this place could get, and it wasn't long before he'd managed to get himself sucked into the sea of bodies pretty much against his will. What he -really- wanted was to stop at the bar. He knew a few of the bartenders that were usually on duty from a couple of favors he'd done back in the day, and could always count on them to hook him up with something strong. And there laid the problem -- actually getting over there. Sighing, Anthony decided he wouldn't let it bother him too much. After all, he'd only come here tonight to get away from himself, as strange as that sounded. Life in general had been kicking him in the ass these past few weeks. From his mom getting some sort of cancer his father wouldn't tell him about back on the mainland, to him breaking up with someone who he'd been under the impression he would have been with forever.
Yeah. Tony needed a drink. A stiff one, and STAT. Just when he was going to start throwing elbows to work his way out over to the bar, he backed up accidentally to some tall, slightly scrawny fellow from behind. Reflexively, he opened his mouth to give a quick sorry and hurry off on his way, but then he happened to notice the girl he was dancing with. Well. Struggling with would be more accurate. She looked pissed, to put it simply, and it was evident that the guy wasn't picking up on this what so ever. "I said back off!" Before he could blink twice, the guy that he'd been stumbling against had been shoved roughly just to his right, sending him staggering to catch his balance. One look at his face, and Anthony could see he wasn't going to be a particularly happy camper. What really ticked -him- off was that there was this whole fleet of people standing around, and not one of them seemed to be stepping in to handle the situation. Seriously? Assuming that would mean -he'd- have to get involved now, Anthony turned abruptly to stalk up towards the stranger; pressing a hard finger into his chest. He was clearly taller than Tony, and he didn't recognized his face, but such details didn't matter to him at this moment.
"When someone tells you to stop," his suddenly icy tone cut through, his whole body leaning in close enough for the other boy to hear him above the music and hollers of the people, "You do it. So do yourself a favor right now, and walk away."
Tony regarded him with those hard, almost hallow eyes of his before emitting a hard hiss under his breath before dropping his finger. Snorting once, he turned on his heel to walk back towards the curly haired chick that had been in the predicament earlier. His jawline had relaxed, and his body had had released the tense muscles that had retracted in preparation for a fight. Granted, he probably would have shifted and would rather shred the guy to pieces rather than try to put on a stand as a human. The other guy had the advantage of height, and probably weight, so no way was he going to be at a disadvantage. Looking somewhat relaxed, Tony spotted the girl and picked up his volume to make sure he could be heard. "Are you alright?" He wasn't normally one to go running around playing 'hero', but then again he couldn't just stand by and watch her get harassed like that. Though it looked like she had the situation under control. [/blockquote][/blockquote] Give us life again. Cause we just wanna be whole.Words ! 948 Tagged ! Kali Outfit ! .static.flickr.com/4127/4978262288_25e11928d1_t.jpg"] .x. Anger. It was one of those passionate emotions she only truly felt once or twice a month. This one was new; it was white hot and burning through her veins, flushing brilliant spots of color high on her cheeks, causing a vivid edge to her eye sight. The beast inside her had dug her sharp claws deep into her control, threatening to shred that thin line that separated her human side from her clouded leopard. All she wanted was to dance. All she wanted was to exhaust her body and mind, to enjoy the lyrical drug of the song, and the hypnotic thrum of the bass. And to be completely honest, she wanted to choose the person she lost herself in (if it ever came up); not some slimy asshole with a fear of rejection. Golden-hazel eyes darted from the lanky jerk to the dancers surrounding her situation. Some stood and stared out right, while some simply turned their heads and ignored it.
Really? This is why society is so messed up! Returning her glare to the guy who haphazardly stumbled toward her, she assumed that this was her fight alone. With the adrenaline rush, her brain was kicked into high gear. Sizing him up she realized he’d have the height advantage, but their was a slowness in his movements. More than likely alcohol, she thought. The heels she was wearing gave her a bit of an issue, but not enough the equal out the playing field. Kali was higher up in the food chain at the moment. Tensing her body, she spread her weight evenly and though absently the ridiculousness of the situation when a guy jumped into her path. He was of average height for a guy but definitely shorter than the other male. Her anger faltered, the blinding passion fading into extreme annoyance. The beast inside relaxed and retracted her attachment, intent and curious. Kali wasn‘t able to hear the boy over the din of a Shinedown remix - what was with all these remixes anyways? Wasn‘t the original good enough?- but his actions and mannerisms made it obvious he was sticking up for her. The guy turned around and struggled through the crowd. Just like that, not wanting to fight with a guy. This made Kali agitated in a different way. Because she was feminine, because she was smaller, because she was a goddamned SHE, he could mess with her? Her reeling mind was temporarily shut down by the approach of the boy. In fascination her hazel eyes watched his rigid body relax, the muscles of his jaw line slacken into repose, she suddenly realized he was attractive. Dark hair for certain (the exact hue hard to determine in the atmosphere), light eyes, nice features, snake bites; but of course she was still irritated. It was like her stepped into her territory while she was trying to defend it, and now it was latched onto him. Good thing she was very realistic. He‘d helped her, but their was this nagging feeling, something like her instinct trying to send a message in a different language. As he approached, she overheard him yell out ’are you alright?’ Yeah, so he was the hero. Stepping forward, she raised her tone to be heard, “Yeah! Thanks for the help!” And now, she really didn‘t know what to say or do.
The song had shifted to another remix, this time Korn was incorporated with some rap band in an interested altercation. Kali had always preferred this jarring slur of different genres, not really sure for what reason. Her gold-hazel eyes able to see fairly well in the dark, shadowy environment, noted that all of her friends where “Away Without Leave“ which irritated her to know end. A low groan escaped her lips, as she turned to glance at the boy again, unsure of herself for the first time in a long while. Tonight just hdn't turned out the way she expected.

Your arms like towers tower over me. • • • We are broken,• • •
What must we do to restore our • • •innocence?• • •Some days, Anthony had to just take a step back out of his life for a moment, look at it from a distance, and just laugh at himself. Honestly. Okay, so he knew he wasn't really a people person. It was safe to assume he was border line not liking them in general, which was natural to his leopard genes since they were generally a solitary creature. So then what, in the name of all things kind and gracious, was he actually doing here at a place completely coated with sweaty bodies by the masses? It made no sense. Ontop of that, here he was, sticking up for some person he'd never exchanged names with before, getting his nose into some business that probably wasn't his in the first place - in fact, it wasn't - and running around here like he had a cape on. Any other day, had he visited Erosion, he probably would have been like the people standing on the side sadly enough. Though not the gawkers, certainly not. More so those that turned their heads and kept on with the time of the song and whomever they were grinding against. Although... to justify, he had to admit he wasn't heartless. Tony probably would have just pushed some other person into the skyscraper of a guy to give him someone else to be ticked off at, and just help 'indirectly' that way. Yeah, that sounded about right. But based on how the play of events were headed so far, he could tell this wouldn't be anywhere near his normal routine for the night. In a way, this idea tickled him somewhat. A little change couldn't hurt anyone, right?
Tony felt himself being jerked about and bumped against as he stood there rather awkwardly in the crowd before the nameless other, repeatedly getting knocked off balance. If he wasn't being hip checked to the left, then someone was coming up behind him and butt bumping him forward. Evidently? His patience was starting to wear thin. ..Now where was that drink again? Head swiveled to his left, hooking over his shoulder to look behind him and try to see over the flood of people to where the bar might be located. A piece of him hopped it wasn't far, and a slightly bigger slab of him prayed it was so it could justify his desires to start jabbing these people around him in the kidneys with his elbow and offer a fake 'Oh my bad' here and there. Complemented with a typical Cooper smirk, of course. It wasn't until then that it dawned on him just how out of place he felt being back on the island... he'd been gone for how long? Five months? Yeah. Those of his friends that he'd managed to track down who were still around either didn't remember who he was, could only recall the bad things that happened while he was here, or had completely changed on him all together. So, once again, Tony felt like an outcast. And would have to work his way back into people's hearts around here to feel welcomed again. Sure, people weren't his thing, but friends he most certainly needed. Craved, actually.
Vibrantly blue toned eyes scanned the heads of seemingly faceless people disappointedly, the feline within him starting to stir impatiently as it started to pace about within him. Man. Could it honestly be -that- hard to find a bar around here? A shout to his right made him turn his head back to twelve o'clock position, only to find himself still facing the girl whom he'd only just spoken to earlier. It took him a moment to register that she was actually talking to him, now, and that he probably ought to listen up. From what he gathered, she was thanking him. Though her body posture and stance radiated a different sort of message. It would have been threatening, challenging even, if he hadn't recognized the look and feel before in his own steps. Tony locked eyes with her for a moment, trying to assess the situation. Though not in a stand-offish way... more like how a child would gaze up at a magnificent machine with all sorts of gears and bolts and gadgets to figure out how it worked. With him, however, he was trying to gauge just what her shift was. His eyes squinted just a tad, analyzing multiple things in his head at once. She'd obviously been the one to take the stand and put her hands on the douche bag from before. That alone gave away that she probably wasn't some little gerbil or rabbit shift. And that look in those hazel eyes of hers... it was primal.
A predator for sure. But he liked that.
Other than that, Tony couldn't gather much else. He rather sucked at the whole guessing game scenario, though his instincts usually knew what was going down. If he ever decided to listen to them. Satisfied enough for now, Anthony broke the gaze and offered up a toothy grin, shifting into a more friendly facade for the moment. Last thing he wanted to do right now was tick her off more. It'd be just his luck she'd be like, a rhino shift or something and wind up spearing him in the gut with her horn. Wouldn't be the first attempt. "Good! You wouldn't happen to know where the bar is, do you-"
And just as the song changed abruptly to Yeah x3, Chris Brown the group behind seemed to get obnoxiously excited, and started jostling about haphazardly. One of them side checked Tony and bumped him forward towards the girl that was starting to spark an curious interest in the pit of his stomach, forcing him to take a couple of staggered steps forward. Alarmed, he managed to stop himself before colliding foreheads with her, but the previous distance that had been between them had certainly shrunk quite a bit. Agitated now, Anthony glowered and felt his body start to quiver, muscles contracting and tendons starting to recoil, preparing to spring at the nearest target. Fingers knotted themselves together into fists at his side as he threw a threatening glare towards the group that had bumped him, though it went unnoticed. Sighing, Tony tried to regain himself as he ran a hand through his dark hair, trying to relax. "--Sorry. Anyways.. yeah. I could use a drink if you don't mind pointing me in the right direction." A pause. Then he regarded the 'predator girl' with those calculating eyes again, then chuckled. "Looks like you might want to treat yourself to one too." He joked teasingly, referring to her clearly annoyed stance and hoping she wouldn't just resort to shanking him with that mighty rhino horn. Man those hurt. [/blockquote][/blockquote] Give us life again. Cause we just wanna be whole.Words ! 1121 Outfit ! Here** Lyrics ! We Are Broken by Paramore Credit !
