A soft groan fled the male's lips as he trudged as far away from the school as he possibly could. It sickened him to no end. With eyes narrowed, he moved silently towards the beach as if he were stalking something. A soft breath is pushed past his lungs as he stopped to survey the area. Reajusting his sunglasses, a smirk tugged at his lips. On normal days, he would be the average nerd. Unfortunately, in his junior year, that was not the case.
Despite his athletic build, he can't help but feel. . .fat. With this thought in mind, he removed his shirt and cargo pants. He stood still for a moment or so, only dressed in his silken, black boxers. Without much more hesitation, he started to run pell-mell towards the undoubtedly, freezing water. His inner beast roared with delight as it realized where he was going and what he was about to do. Long legs guided him into the water. So as to get used to the freezing temperature, he immersed himself completely within the chilled depths.
It was refreshing and made him feel more alive than he ever had in years. Yeah, he's had his problems with drugs and alcohol. Nobody was ever perfect. That never excluded him. Seeming to have realized that he was still submerged, he allowed his head to break the surface of the water. His lips had somehow turned blue, but he payed them no mind. For once, upon a rare occasion, he and his beast were working together in perfect harmony.
Neither fought the other. They simply coexisted. He closed his eyes, allowing the chill of the water to seep into his body. He had to resist the beast as it attempted to take control. It was no easy feat but in a battle of wills, Piscine "Pi" Molitor Patel, usually never lost. His smirk began to broaden into a grin. "Did I upset the kitty?"
He purred to himself. He couldn't help but taunt the beast every now and again. Especially if he had managed to surpass it. One would probably wonder why he called his 'other half' a beast or an it. Well, the answer to that would be quite simple. He hated it with all of his being that he had any amount of control over. If he had his way, he would never shift again.
Unfortunately, he hardly got his way. He would have to live with the beast for a while longer. A mixture of venom and bile began to rise in his throat, but he quickly swallowed the sickening sensation. Did he mention that he was disgusted with himself? No? Well, he was. "Damn it.."
He muttered under his breath. Anger flashed in his gaze but vanished just as quickly as it came. Almost as if it never existed to begin with. "Where's the fun?"
|
He growled as he splashed out of the water, moving hair away from his eyes. With his luck, the blasted strands remained plastered to his forehead. A snort of disgust rushed past his lips. Beluga Beach was one of Pinky's most favorite hideaways; she enjoyed the feeling of being away from school and other responsibilities. At the time of Piscine's arrival, she happened to be lounging among the kelp fronds in the shallows of the beach, grasping onto the plants with her prehensile tail and swaying with the currents--a rare moment of stillness and quiet for this certain girl. The frigid temperature of the water daunted most of the other island occupants, but as a sea-dwelling creature, the centigrade mattered little to her.
And suddenly, the peace was shattered as a stranger invaded her domain; powerful waves made holding onto her anchor beyond difficult, and the small seahorse was lost for a moment in a whirlpool beneath the water. Luckily, the area was free of large rocks, and the sand of the seabed was soft and clean--otherwise it could have ended badly for the fragile creature.
After a moment, she had been tugged far enough away from the madness that she could regain her composure--and decided that it had been fun, as per her usual personality, despite the threat of being bashed and broken. However, even the reckless Pinky Thoms knew when to fold, and she did not dare attempt to clumsily swim back and go through it again. In a split second, she had shimmied toward the beach and made the shift from bony fish to babe; glancing back into the water for a split second to take in her surroundings and try to identify the invader, she hustled over to a single large boulder to retrieve her swimsuit.
Dressing quickly, she was ready to greet the young man as he climbed out of the sea. She made no effort to be sneaky by any means, and skipped along the sand while excitedly hailing him.
"Hi!" she exclaimed with a highly enthusiastic wave, coming to a sudden halt mere inches away from him and grinning her eager Pinky grin. "You almost crushed me! She did not seem too phased, or upset at all, by this fact. One could easily see the enthusiasm emanating from her sandy skin and shining in her eyes--she loved people. Her bubblegum-tinted hair was plastered around her face, but unlike the young man she didn't seem to mind.

He grunted as a feminine voice spoke. He started to snarl a crude response but managed to stop himself almost immediately. Taking a deep breath, he spoke calmly. "Sorry. I failed to see you."
He stated smoothly while water continually dripped from his olive colored skin. He gave her a sheepish grin of sorts.
"Name's Piscine. Pi for short."
|
He spoke gruffly but not in an unkind manner. He looked her up and down quickly while his lips twitched within amusement. "So you attend the academy, I assume." His tone didn't pose a question but rather a statement. Running his fingers through his hair, he averted his dark gaze. "Anything else you need, Cotton Candy?" He queried with a sardonic chuckle. Bringing his gaze back towards her, he blinked once or twice before a flush of embarrassment flooded his cheeks. "Sorry." He muttered. "The water calls." He mused aloud. Tilting his head, he gazed at her blankly. "So what's your story?" He asked without shame or hesitation. Just as the words left his lips, he had forgotten to subdue the 'beast.' The end result occured in him shifting. So instead of a teenage boy with a gruff appearance, stood a large, Bengal tiger. It shook its head only once before staring at her with amber eyes. Not really sure what to do, he glanced down at the tattered remnants of his boxers. With another shake of his head, he moved toward her and sat down upon the sand. I'd change back, but I doubt she'd care to see Junior. He mused silently, unable to communicate with her. He decided to settle for second best. Butting his nose against her leg, a low growl rumbled in his chest. The growl wasn't threatening but rather a request for attention. He allowed an ear to twitch once or twice. He didn't dare jump on her. Being far from a domestic kitten, he decided to simply press his nose against her. Uncertainty was in his amber gaze. I doubt she wants five hundred pounds of tiger landing on her. I lost track of my clothing, to make matters worse. He sighed heavily. A quiet whine left his lips. Slowly but surely, all five hundred pounds of him began to lie down. He couldn't do much else, now could he? A grimace tweaked his lips as he rested his head between his paws. Every few moments or so, the tip of his tail flicked and curled. It's quite obvious he despised this period. He felt weak and couldn't do much about it. ((Note: Nice to meet ya'. He's not mean. Just shy. You're fine with however you decide to post. ^___^))[/blockquote] [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Mouth still creased into a smile, she seemed to take no notice of Piscine's slight sarcasm--she had never been very adept at picking up on negative energy, no matter how minute. Many things were running through her mind and exciting her at the moment; firstly, his name began with a "P", secondly, she hadn't met him before, and thirdly, he was definitely not hard to look at.
"I'm Pinky!" she introduced herself in her usual fashion--it had been ages since she actually referred to herself as Daniella. It was not a stuffy name in the least bit, but it did not suit her. "Affirmative; I'm in my last year here..." she trailed off, seeming a bit saddened by this knowledge.
Cotton Candy? This may have upset any other girl; Pinky liked it. "I just wanted to come and say "hello". This time of year, not alot of people come down to the beach. Too cold, or something." She waved them off errantly, rolling her eyes.
The bright-haired young woman had just opened her mouth to tell the greatest tale ever told, with a few embellishments, as she considered "what's your story?" to prompt a swashbuckling epic with ninjas, lost loves, and the like. She was abruptly cut off and stunned silent as in the blink of an eye, her new friendboy had become a large striped cat.
A small squeak left her mouth as her hands quickly flew up to cover it. Pinky was not afraid of the tiger, by any means, but her mind was in so many different places at once that it was exceedingly easy to startle her. After a moment to catch her breath, she looked onto the tiger with admiration--a truly beautiful creature.
She watched him sit down, and giggled a bit as his whiskers tickled her smooth leg. He seemed very tentative. Most people who had just met someone for the first time had a guarded sense of personal space; Pinky was not "most people" by any means. As the tiger lay down, she sat in the sand and cozied up next to him, resting her hand on his soft neck ruff and oblivious to any danger that there may have been in doing so.
The remnants of his black boxers stirred with the ocean breeze, and soon most of the pieces were lost. Slowly, her hand began to pet as she cooed, "I remember once, at a souvenir stand on the other island--it was just a few months ago, actually, the man was selling dried seahorses. It scared me so badly that I shifted right there infront of him. Someone scooped me up and ran off. I think he was mostly blind anyway; he was very old."
Her hair was slowly drying. She supposed that she would let it continue, as she had found something much more interesting to do than sit in the water.

He huffed softly. Slowly, his tail flicked and draped against her. Grumbling and grunting, he flopped onto his side. This was an attempt to have her fall into his side. Amber eyes searched for his clothing that he'd remembered to shed moments before entering the chilled water. Upon spotting them, he hauled himself to a standing position and loped towards the clothing. Scooping them up in his jaws, he glanced toward her with a low growl before slinking behind the adjacent rocks.
Quickly, he shifted and slid on his clothes. He did it with ease, not really bothering to hide the fact that he was dressing. It's not as if he had any shame. Chuckling, he moved back toward her and sat down. He kept silent for a moment or so while humor glinted in his dark gaze. "You have a year shorter than I do. I'm majoring in vocal music through the arts."
He paused and poked her nose gently. "I would have loved to see that."
|
He purred. Instinct caused him to move a strand or two of her hair from her face. Dark eyes focused intently upon hers. "I'm taking it by your story that your animal shift is that of a seahorse." He grinned sheepishly. It was a hard thing to be stranded between two bodies. It was like a war between two heads that sometimes were the same and sometimes were not. Like even though you were still you, the instincts could pull you apart until you were so many fragments of your original self there was no way to put the picture back together. He had once heard that a good shifter was comfortable with both skins, and the gray area between them. The gray area was the important one, the connection between a beast and a man. If the connection was avoided or tense, it made the mind stressed and erratic. Difficult. He tried to work with both of his halves as best he could. But there were days he hated his tiger body and days he hated his human one. It was natural to want to change from what you had no choice but to be. You had to relinquish the feeling of control, he supposed. The young man's heart hadn't entirely settled back down to normal just yet. It still fluttered a bit from the shift, leaving in its wake tender tissue that felt ticklish and stretched. The lungs beneath pushed against it with each breath, reminding him with tension and quick pulses of blood that it wasn't as easy to relax sometimes as he'd like. ((Note: Sorry it's short. I tried to give you something to reply to. I'm out of it and working on my senior exit. Hope it's good enough. And I think she's met the shyest, male tiger around.. x]..))[/blockquote] [/blockquote] [/blockquote]

Leaning against the tiger felt good, and not only because of his soft pelt. It was strangely comforting to sit next to a massive animal, with equally massive teeth and claws. Pinky was small in stature, and felt absolutely dwarfed in comparison to Piscine's large feline form--oddly, she felt safe. Standing at only five feet tall left her looking up to nearly everyone and everything on a day to day basis. Occasionally, she had rounds with an inferiority complex and would crave a protective, strong personality to comfort her.
Piscine rolled, and with another small squeak she fell against him, grasping at his striped fur in surprise. Just as she managed to regain herself, he stood up and she awkwardly fell into the sand; she immediately felt grains slip into her bikini and stick to her damp back, and spent the entirety of Piscine's absence attempting to brush it off. She realized that he must be dressing, and let him have his privacy by focusing her attentions on shaking sand out of her pink mane. Being a beach girl by nature, she was not irritated in the least by the invading environment.
He returned during a particularly rewarding scalp scratching, and when she finally flipped her hair back over and smoothed it down, she gladly refocused on him with her perma-grin. She was a bit surprised that Piscine was actually younger than herself--perhaps his stature had made him appear older; he was quite a bit taller and had a mature build. The knowledge of his major did not strike her as odd in the least bit--his voice was like liquid chocolate to her ears. "I'm taking culinary classes, myself...cake decorating and such. I'm going to open a bakery on the island someday." Since her first year at the Academy, she had only that one goal in her mind. She had scouted the business areas off-grounds and stalked the streets over and over, and knew exactly where she would want her shop and what it would look like. In her dorm room beneath her bed was an entire shoebox full of design ideas cut from magazines and fabric swatches; it was difficult for Pinky to focus on any one thing, but this idea had stuck with her for years.
It was exceedingly easy to watch his face, but her eyes flitted here and there from his eyes to his nose and from there to his lips, and then suddenly to his hands moving toward her face. The slight pressure on her nose caused her smile to widen even more--a challenge for her blushing cheeks, which were beginning to become sore from so much grinning. The sultry purr of his voice made her giggle with delight, as if he had just told her a particularly dirty joke. She watched his fingers brush against a bit of pink hair and then returned her happy gaze to his intent one. "Yep, that's me. It's not the coolest animal ever, but I like it." She shrugged her tanned and befreckled shoulders casually.
His grin made her giggle again. "Don't tell me you're shy!" Shy people entertained Pinky to no end.

He glanced toward her with a chuckle. "What if I am?"
He queried while his dark gaze settled upon hers. He leaned back and looked into her eyes, occasionally brushing his thumb along the supple skin of her cheek. His gaze never wavered from hers while he began to speak. "You shouldn't tease a tiger, my dear.."
|
He purred, allowing his hand to fall from her face. Without really thinking, he began to sing soft lyrics from a song by Bon Jovi. "I'm a fighter, I'm a poet, I'm a preacher. I've been to school and baby, I've been the teacher. If you show me how to get up off the ground, I can show you how to fly and never ever come back down." Another chuckle escaped his lips as he finished singing. "I've always been a fan of Bon Jovi.." He murmured aloud. He glanced toward her once more and leaned forward, blowing his peppermint-scented breath onto her cheek. "Normally they swoon faster. You're pretty tough to withstand my charm." He teased her, lightly poking the opposite cheek of which he had blown on. "If you need help with your business, I'm pretty much available. I only swim after school. On occasion, I'll play football but not much else." He simply shrugged and ran his fingers through his damp hair. "Normally I hate pink, but I have to admit it looks fairly cute on you. Weird, considering I never really pay much attention to the opposite gender." He purred softly. "No I'm not gay. Possibly bi but never gay." He chuckled. With a grin, he resumed running the pad of his thumb along her cheek. "Be honest with me. You have either a boyfriend or a dark, scary motive under the adorable, outwards persona, right?" He laughed light-heartedly, ruffling her hair. "Sorry that I'm nosy, but I find you increasingly interesting." He winked only once. Suddenly, he glanced around as if he was suspicious of something. "At least I know for sure that one of is single and quite possibly looking." He whispered this, seeming to not want anybody else but her to hear him as he spoke. "That's between us, though." He stated breathlessly and somewhat dramatically. With a roll of his dark eyes, he wrapped his arms around her in what could only be described as a friendly embrace. He tried nothing more afterwards. Shortly after, he stood up and offered his hand to her. ((Note: I suppose so. Ha ha, I'm more worried about proboards than my project. It's Christmas break, after all! :3..))[/blockquote][/blockquote] [/blockquote]

The seas swam in her blue eyes as she locked onto his dark gaze. He was exceedingly interesting and mysterious. The grin which had never really left her face resettled for a second round. "Oh, I'm shaking in my bikini, Mister Pi."
She listened intently to his musical moment, recognizing the lyrics and the general tune of the song. When he finished, she excitedly pointed out "I like them too! That's a good song. And I really love your voice." And at that moment, a waft of light peppermint scent hit her nostrils, sending a tingle up her spine as if she had stepped outside into a snow drift. He touched her face again, and once more she found it hard to contain her mirth. "I'm kind of a badass, you know. Takes more than a few pelvic thrusts to get to me."
Pinky did not participate in any extra curricular activities, and her schedule was normally wide open. She spent most of her nights as far from the Academy and its dormitories as possible--not really the school-hungry type. "I do love helpers. And tasters. I make alot of cake." She said the last bit with a tinge of boredom in her voice. One could only mix so much batter before it became tedious.
At the mention of her hair, she shook her head vigorously to check on its drying process, while simultaneously using it to hide the increasingly blushed state of her face. Yet again, he was sending her into a giggle frenzy, and she bit her bottom lip to stifle it. Pinky was considered by some to be rather flirtatious, and it was probably true, but she had never instigated the flirting herself.
His thumb touched her cheek again, and she was certain that he would feel the heat emanating from her skin--no use hiding it anymore. She allowed her light laughter to bubble out finally, sending him a teasing look with her cheshire cat grin. "Actually, I did have a boyfriend. I axe murdered him," she murmured in a creepy tone. "I think that you're pretty interesting, yourself." It was the truth. She was friendly with everyone, and most people reciprocated the gesture; however, not many had accepted her 'no personal bubble' policy. Piscine was one of the few and the proud.
Her toes buried in the cool sand, and she watched the waves roll onto the beach while he spoke. She was completely ready to reply with a flirtatious comment of her own, but in the time that it took her to make certain that her voice would come out as sultry as his, the moment was lost and she was wrapped in arms. This was too much for her brain, and the comment slipped away into nothingness as she happily returned the hug--one of her most favorite things in life. "As far as I know, I am too," she responded lightheartedly as he pulled away and stood to help her up. She gladly took his hand and stood as well, dusting at her backside and thighs for a split second before stretching her limbs and giving her body a good 'wet dog' shake.
Rolling a shoulder up and glancing coyly over it, she breathed in a voice just audible enough for him to hear, if he tried, "Plans for later?" The attempt at sexy was too funny for her to handle for too long, and she quickly reverted to her perky self. She smiled and added, "I'm free."

A chuckle escaped, quickly followed by another. "Maybe I am, maybe I am not."
He murmured into her ear, pulling away slowly. "I had a girlfriend as well. She tasted better cooked."
|
He smirked and snickered, wrapping his arms around her. "Maybe you will be my next victim..." He trailed off, pulling away. Just before pulling himself fully away, he pressed his lips to hers. "Who ever said anything about pelvic thrusts?" He growled softly and grinned yet again. His eyes sparkled with mirth as he allowed his arms to drop from around her waist. With a chuckle, he shifted some more hair out of her face. He purposefully made his thumbs brush along her cheek while doing so. He lowered his head to gaze into her eyes. "I will taste your cakes any day, Pinky.." He purred, nipping lightly at her nose. His words had a deeper meaning than simply eating cakes. He was not about to hide this fact either. He made it clearly known that his words held different meaning than seemed to be on the surface. A chuckle rumbled in his throat. Gently, he lowered his head to peer into her eyes. "I know we just met.." He pauses for a dramatic effect. "Would you be willing to go to the movies or to a resturant later on? We can discuss your bakery and your cakes." He purred. A chuckle rumbled in his throat. A soft noise fled his lips as he cupped her face and kissed her eyelids. He sighed and swept his hands along her spine, brushing away the sand and grime. "Such a tease.." He winked and lightly nipped at her cheek. "Tigers and seahorses..oh my!" He grinned while his eyes twinkled. Why am I acting like this?He sighed. "If you are uncomfortable, let me know so I can adjust my behavior.." He murmured faintly. Unable to stop himself, he began to run his hands along her sides. Dark eyes peered into hers. "Up to you.." He mumbled. Another sigh left his lips. I hope I didn't scare her away. Again..why am I acting this way? This is the first time..no..wait, do NOT go there, Piscine Molitor Patel! Just behave yourself and stop before you do something stupid or something you will regret. He nodded faintly as if in agreement with his mind. Slowly and relunctantly, he pulled away. ((Note: No problem! I think somebody has a crush.)) Pinky felt incredibly small in his embrace, but thoroughly enjoyed the feeling in this case. At his kiss, she stood on the tips of her toes in an attempt to make it last a bit longer. His growling and purring and the general silkiness of his voice was quickly breaking down her defenses and threatening to make her swoon.
She was struck mute for a few moments, concentrating on his fingers grazing her body in various places. It was not as though she had never experienced the sensation; in fact, plenty of boys had their eyes on her posterior on a day to day basis. This seemed different, somehow.
With much effort, she contained her delighted squeak, already planning what shenanigans the night would bring. It had been a while since she had gone on an official "date". And cakes! The prospect excited her to the point that she could no longer stifle herself. Sure, she had only just met Piscine, but Pinky's philosophy in life was to live for the moment, in the moment. This was no exception.
"Oh, come on! That's like peanut butter and jelly! Meant to be together!" she quipped, grinning right back at him as she finally found her voice. She felt him touch her sides again, and shivered visibly. The cold water, in animal form, was no hassle; the cool breeze on bare human skin was another story.
And then, he pulled away. Her lips creased from their happy state to a pout and she chewed absently at one of her snakebite piercings. Then, just as quickly as her face had fallen, it picked up again into a beaming smile and she stepped closer to Piscine. Raising her hands with fingers outstretched, a devilish look crossed her face and she advanced with a playful growl. "Are you...." she whispered "...ticklish?"
Her fingertips made contact with his ribs and she tickled furiously, watching his face for a reaction. If anything could bring down a wall, it was definitely a patented Tickled-Pink-Pinky-Tickle. Lightly drumming her fingers against his skin, she ended the assault in a firm hug around his waist--about as far as she could reach, really. "If I didn't want you to touch me, I would have punched you in the face!" And she would have--oh, she would have.
((Awwww n.n he's so cuuuute...I want to pinch his cheeks. ...the ones on his face. ....mostly.))

He growled playfully. "Maybe I am."
He twined his arms around her waist once more, kissing her lightly but firmly. Mirth sparkled in his eyes as he lightly pinched her lower back. He pulled away slightly but only enough so he could speak. "I would make you mine, but I'm not entirely sure what your thoughts are on the matter." He chuckled, nipping at her nose.
"Are you sure you could punch this face?"
|
He murmured, smiling innocently. His tone was teasing. His lips met hers once more, but he made sure to make it last. He decided to rebel against his normally, shy nature. He allowed his tongue to flick along her bottom lip before he pulled away. He grinned, pulling away. "Oops. Must be my animal instinct." He winked. A laugh bubbled past his lips as he begin to stroke her hair. His movements were gentle. No longer suggestive. A sigh fled his lips. "A guy would kill for a girl like you.." He murmured, almost to himself. He didn't know what else to say or do. He simply allowed himelf to be lost within her presence. He didn't feel the need to be his awkward mask of a self. No, instead he knew he could be himself around her. She was like a breath of fresh, Spring breeze. He could only do what came naturally for him. He embraced her tightly, allowing his head to drop to her shoulder. As it fell, he began to breathe in her sweet smell. She smelled of the ocean and pastries. Hell, she smelled good enough to eat. It caused something within him to stir and tug at his heartstrings. He wasn't used to the feeling, but he knew he wanted more of it. He just didn't know how to go about it. It's not as if he's ever experienced it before. The most he wanted in the past was flings. With Pinky, it seemed to be a whole nother ballgame. Scratch that. It had left the ballgame and went right into the 'this is reality, so get used to it.' A quiet chuckle left his lips. He peered into her eyes, wondering what she could be thinking. Of course, this required him to lift his head. Something he was relunctant to do. No, it wasn't just relunctance. It was the fact he loathed to do so. He loathed it so much in fact that after a few moments of gazing into her eyes, he lowered his head back onto her shoulder. A sigh of content left his lips. ((Note: He would not mind x].)) [/blockquote][/blockquote] [/blockquote]

His kiss was like rolling up three sticks of peppermint gum into a ball and shoving it in her mouth, right after brushing her teeth; it was clean and crisp, and left a sweet taste afterwards as if his lips were made of marzipan. She liked it. She also enjoyed the sudden gentleness of his touch and movements--it was very refreshing to not deal with bum-grabbing and grind-dancing with Piscine. Despite the attention that she normally received, rarely did it morph into 'affection' as it did now.
Had she the ability to force her voice into a silky purr, she would have done just that in order to respond. However, her larynx was strung a bit too tightly for anything other than a cute mumble. "I don't know; it could work, I bet. But, Piscine," she returned his gaze as he lifted his head momentarily. "Are you sure that you could handle an older woman?" she asked teasingly.
Pinky moved a hand to the back of his hair and rubbed his scalp gently. His hair was nearly as silky as his voice. The breeze bit at her skin again, and she was glad to have Piscine's arms for warmth.
The idea of a relationship was very exciting; she normally worked alone. It could be that she was considered too flighty by most men to be a good girlfriend prospect. In fact, her longest stretch had been about a month before being dumped on the curb. It was not that she was a horrible partner--she never cheated, was very agreeable, and strove to make the other party happy; perhaps the adventure of having her around simply became boring.
It sounded simply exhilarating, having a partner in crime. Who knows? Maybe he would even improve her somehow. She definitely had a crush on the boy, being boy-crazy as she was. As long as he did not eat her, she mused, it would be a grand experience.
She could feel that her bubblegum locks were finally dried to the point of being ruffled by the wind, which only made her shiver. The sand beneath her bare feet was rapidly cooling as well, and she marched in place a bit to keep them warm. "It's getting cold out..." she thought aloud. She hadn't brought an outer-wardrobe with her. Pinky was very spontaneous, even though she normally swam every day, and always left her dormitory on a whim in nothing but her swimsuit. You would think she would learn.

He rolled his eyes. "You old? Since when?"
He grinned and kissed her nose. Slowly, he slid off his shirt and draped it over her shoulders. "Cute, yes. Old, no."

He chuckled and tightened his grip around her waist. He allowed his cheek to rest against hers as he began to murmur sweet nothings into her ear. He didn't know what else to do, but he knew that the feeling in his chest was one he didn't want to go away. With a purr, he nibbled on her earlobe. "I'd be greedy and not let anybody else near you, but that would rob the rest of the world of your unchallenged looks." He murmured faintly into her ear. The urge to protect her pounded through his veins. He knew if anybody dared hurt her in any way, he'd make sure they wished that they were never born. He closed his eyes and resumed breathing in her scent. It calmed him, and he enjoyed the innocence that it brought. The unspoken promises that related to the future. He wasn't usually the type for relationships, but Pinky was different. It was a feeling that had lodged itself in his heart, allowing no room for question. And he didn't dare question matters of the heart, no matter how insignificant. "M'hm..Pinky, my dear, how about we ditch the beach. I'll meet you at the resturant around..eight, maybe?" He purred softly. The purr seemed to be a mix between a growl. He wanted to treat her and discuss her plans for the bakery. What boyfriend could possibly deny his girlfriend the privilige of talking about what they desire most? Well, that was most men. Luckily, he wasn't most men. He grinned inwardly at the thought while stroking the cheek opposite to his with his thumb. Slowly, he pulled his head away and pressed his lips gently to hers. He couldn't resist, and he wouldn't pretend that he could do such a thing. A quiet yawn permeates his lips. "All mine?" He chuckled quietly. He sounded like a needy child. Oh well. One would do anything in the name of love, he supposed. Even making one's self sound like a fool. They certainly seemed to be similar. One could only hope, eh? He poked his nose to hers and smiled. He couldn't remember the last time he had smiled so much. Nor was he about to give himself a headache, trying to remember. A soft noise sounded in his throat. "So..am I cuddly in my tiger form?" He queried teasingly. His thumb resumed stroking her cheek with slow, tender movements. ((Note: He's a sweetheart. <33)) [/blockquote][/blockquote] [/blockquote]

Grateful for the warmth, she snuggled her shoulders into Piscine's shirt and felt a bit more comfortable. She giggled, as would be expected from her, as his teeth tickled at her chilled earlobe. His breath was a welcome wave of heat on her face. "Well we wouldn't want to do that, would we?" she agreed humorously.
Pinky had never really been a vain person. She considered herself just cute enough to get by on her looks if she needed to, but actually strove to be much, much better than the people who did that on a day to day basis. Compliments weren't hard to come by, as she was very brightly colored and hard to miss, but she never let them get to her head.
"Eight?" she mused aloud, pretending that she actually had to give it any thought. "I think I could fit you in. As long as you promise to walk me home afterwards, I'll be there." Already she was running the contents of her closet through her mind. How was she supposed to dress for a date? It had been so long since the last one that she was fairly sure her only appropriate "date" clothes had been replaced by fun, party articles. She would have to be resourceful.
He touched her cheek again. He had done this many times so far, but each instance felt like the first. She leaned her face into his hand. Another minty kiss, and she was hooked. "All yours," she agreed in a murmur. Piscine made her feel even more effervescent than usual.
Crushes were hard to understand. They could happen spontaneously between strangers, or could generate over a long period of time between two friends. In the short span that she had known him, Pinky had been captivated by his face, his charm, and his voice. She hardly knew him, but definitely wanted to make the leap of faith--she could learn along the way. It was interesting that the interest was mutual, though he took the first strides to direct the conversation towards the attraction that hung in the air. Pinky desperately wanted to know more--his story, his feelings, and his reason for being whom he was.
She would be sure to probe during dinner.
"Affirmative. You're like a giant teddy bear." She punched him in the shoulder affectionately. "....with teeth! But I'm not scared of you," she teased, sticking out her tongue and putting on her brave face.
((yes...my boyfriend could take a few lessons from him -.-;;;))

He closed his eyes for mere moments and grinned. "How about we get you in a warm place before you freeze off them pretty, pink locks?"
He purred, rubbing his cheek along her neck. Of course, he couldn't help himself. Who could in this situation? A chuckle ensued. He didn't think there could ever be a better circumstance than the one he was presented with at the present moment, not that he wished to find a better circumstance.
A quiet yawn escaped his lips. "How about this..I'll be late so you can have time to get ready. We'll say eight, but I'll give you thirty minutes to get ready. Lord only knows that I need to get ready, too. Deal?"
|
He looked into her eyes, stroking her cheek with his thumb in slow motions. He seemed to be under a spell, but he wouldn't admit this..at least not yet. For now, he's content to simply bask in her presence. Some could probably confuse him with being gay. Of course, him being a smart ass, would reply with a choice phrase that's old but works wonders on the simplistic mind. Yes, I am very happy. He playfully licked along her cheek. "So much for the lion fell in love with the lamb." He paused. "Who ever heard of the tiger fell in love with the seahorse? So much for fish being the cat's food, eh?" He chuckled and pulled her close, tugging her toward the warmth of his currently, inert frame. A sigh left his lips as his semi-calloused hands ran lightly along the curve of her back. He was rubbing it with light strokes, attempting to not seem overly suggestive, not that one could confuse him for being such. He was never the type to take advantage. He was several things, though. Hopeless romantic with a heart of gold, you bet. Chivalrous gentleman, you bet. The list could go on and on but under the large exterior, he was the true definition of a teddy bear. Not that he minded. He enjoyed being among the few that could be confused as being taken or gay. Well, the taken part was officially true, thanks to Pinky Thoms. He mulled over a few things for a few moments. "Hmmm..Pink Thoms-Patel.." He allowed the name to roll off his tongue like the sweetest of honey, not pausing to look down at her until he was finished speaking. "H0w does that sound to you, my dear?" He queried, lightly poking her sides the tips of his fingers. Another grin tugged at his features. He could have been many things, but he'd chosen the path of vocal music. His voice seemed to enthrall many people, but he never bothered to experiment with it. ((Note: Sorry, it took so long. Messy past two weeks. Luv ya'. :]..)) [/blockquote][/blockquote] [/blockquote]
