Une partie de lui voulait mourir ... Sometimes he was afraid that people just saw through him; like he was a lone piece of glass that was to be peered through rather than looked at for perfection or lack there of. He was afraid, at times, that no one would notice if he broke, and some sick twisted part of him wished that he could just break and get it over with. After all it was no secret that people often just saw completely through him and forgot that he was even there. Mostly Sieffre was okay with slipping in to the back ground. But every now and again he could feel the frustration, the anger, building up in his stomach to the point that he just wanted to scream. To grab a person by the shoulders and demand that they look at him and listen to his words. A soft breath escaped him as his thin arms curling tighter around the plushie in his arms. A Christmas gift from Remi, the plush lion, and something that he had cuddled with back in Denver as his father was slowly dying in front of him. A stuffed toy that he’d clung to desperately as it felt like the word was slowly collapsing around him. Like now.
Part of him just prayed that Aoi would come through the door so he could cling to someone who was a bit more responsive than a stuffed toy. But since he’d gotten back from France he hadn’t seen so much as a hair of his roommate, and cuddle buddy, nor had he managed to see his new roommate. A boy whose name he still didn’t even know yet, and at this point he didn’t really care, and as much as he wanted to see Aoi he felt sleep dragging at him. A small groan left him at the feeling of his phone vibrating just on the other side of his bed. Another protesting sound escaping him as he blindly reached for the damn thing, part of him just wanting to be left alone and the rest of him just praying that it was either Remi or Aoi. But of course, just because it was a day where he was less than happy, it was just some random text from some person looking for someone else. A small choked sound escaped him and Sieffre tossed the phone down, curling more around the plushie, fingers curling through the fake mane of the stuffed lion.
“Laissez-moi tranquille ... Laissez-moi tranquille!”
His fingers curled around his vibrating cell phone, not bothering to look at the damn thing, and fitfully pitched the thing across the room. Eyes slid closed again, listening to it clatter against who knew what, pulling that stuffed toy closer to his body once more. Absently he grabbed his iPod and plugged one of the ear buds in to his ear. Getting comfortable on his bed Sieffre fought a yawn, letting calming music washing over him, curling an arm under his pillow. Hopefully he could doze for an hour and when he woke maybe search for his cell phone. Of course that would only work if he could fall asleep to begin with. A muttered word escaped him and he sat up, cradling the stuffed toy in his lap, head tilting back to check out the ceiling. A small shift had the too large sweater he was wearing sliding down his arm, catching around his elbow, the thing just barely clinging to him. It felt constricting, trapping him, and unconsciously his arms tightened around the lion plushie. He’d give almost anything, almost anything, just to see another living person rather than consider his own thoughts any more.

Noah had woken up that morning thinking he really should get out of his dorm more often. He was tired of staying there all the time, even though he had plenty of things to keep him busy. He was really too pathetic to even fake a social life; he had a small one, but most of the time it didn't seem like it, even to him. Shigemi had offered, awhile back, to go shopping with him, so that was probably the last time he could remember having any real reason to be out of his dorm other than classes. And, of course, the occasional times that he was just out by himself to enjoy the weather.
So that morning when he woke up, he told himself that he was going to stay outside for the majority of the day, even if it meant walking through town in circles. He ended up buying ice cream, which he took outside only for it to start melting. He should have worn shorts today, rather than pants. That was what happened when he didn't think things through. It was odd to stay inside public places when he was by himself; it always seemed like everyone else was with someone.
Noah reached the door to his dorm and he grabbed the door knob and turned it. As he was about to step inside, he heard some yelling from down the hall. He would rather hide than know what the commotion was about, but it seemed that was not an option as he felt something against his back and was pushed into his door. The door slid open and he landed with an oomph on the floor. He could hear the voices fading as the people got further and further away from his dorm, obviously not too worried about their recklessness. At first he didn't move, but he eventually decided he didn't want to lay there in the floor in case someone passed by and noticed.
Noah groaned as he pulled his arm out from under his body and he looked up, hoping there wasn't anybody in there to notice what had happened. But there was someone in there after all, of all the times they had to show up. Noah's face flushed with embarrassment as he slid his hands up beside him on the floor, palms down. His fingers dug into the carpet as he pushed himself up on his knees. He noticed his pillow pet penguin on the floor beside him. It must have fallen out of his hands when he had fell. His fingers enclosed around it as he picked it up and inspected it. A simple fall wouldn't hurt it, but he wanted to be sure. Once he was sure that it was okay, he hugged it to his chest and forced himself to his feet to face his roommate. ”Um...hi, roommate,” he said shyly, still embarrassed from what had just happened. He wanted to say more, but he wasn't sure what to say exactly. Maybe "Sorry for barging in?" Though it was his own dorm.

Ce fut une surprise ...
His fingers absently combed through the mane of the lion plushie, trying to glean as much comfort as he could from the comfortable weight and warmth of the thing. But truly what he wanted was a person, like Aoi, who would almost always snuggle with him even if there were more important things to be done. It was sad, really, how he seemed almost incapable of functioning on a daily basis with out one of his friends. He had no will to get up and get something to eat yet alone do anything worth while other than was what basically sulking in his dorm room alone. Sieffre’s head tilted his head slightly at the sound of voices in the hall; it wasn’t all that unusual really to hear students causing a ruckus in the hallways.
He all but jumped out of his skin as someone seriously fell as they opened the dorm room door. Rocketing off his desk, thigh connecting with the edge, he stumbled away from whoever it was. Clutching at the stuffed toy as if it would protect him from whatever it was that had fallen through the door. Sieffre could feel his heart pounding wildly and that undeniable urge to just run away and hide. A barely subtle glance towards Aoi’s bed; as if some how the older male would be there and some how act as a buffer between him and this new person who’d just fallen in. Taking another step back, his leg connecting with Aoi’s bed behind his own and ultimately stopping him from drawing back any father. A soft shaking breath escaped his lips as he watched the boy pick his body up off of the floor.
“Um... Hi, roommate.”
Et il voulait s'enfuir ... Sieffre frowned at the boy, blinking, a bit surprised at the reaction of the boy. He… Had a roommate other than Aoi…? A flick of eyes towards the third and final bed proved to him that yes, indeed, he had some how acquired while he had been in France. His frown deepened, arms tightening around that stuffed toy of his. For some reason he didn’t like the idea of having a third roommate or perhaps it was the idea of his once roommate that still haunted his thoughts. But then Aoi was the first roommate in a while that hadn’t scared the living day lights out of him in the various ways that tended to startle him. A soft breath escaped his lips and some part of him felt terrible for wanting to be left alone after wanting not to be alone. But a stranger was a completely different thing than someone he already knew. Dropping his head and biting his lower lip just trying to convince at least a greeting to ease out of his mouth.
“Nnnn… Hello.” Perhaps not the most rousing greeting, or well rousing in any sort of way, in fact his greeting was much lack luster entirely. Once again he bit his lip, almost seeming to shrink on the spot. He wanted to run away, hide, and most definitely not be meeting his roommate now when he was so very unprepared for it. All the same he couldn’t just forget his manners because the boy had fallen in to his dorm room, or maybe he should have thought their dorm room, and maybe he was being cruel by staring at the kid like he had a few extra limbs growing out of some odd spots. Tears pricked at his eyes, if possible his features dropping more, hiding behind his hair, and that urge to just run away and hide some where deep hitting him again. Obviously he was a terrible roommate for not even noticing that he had a new roommate. Painfully, finally, he managed to drag a few more words out of his mind and giving them a voice, and luckily in English at that. His fingers curling around the stuffed toy a bit more, just praying that what he was saying was going to be correct... Or maybe he should have introduced himself first?“Ah… A-are you okay…?”

Noah didn't notice the unmistakable hesitation from his voice when he greeted him. Apparently neither of them were too excited about meeting the other. He knew what his own reason was for not wanting to at the moment, but he didn't know why this boy wasn't. It was obvious that he had startled him, though. He figured that would happen to anyone when someone just fell into the room unexpectedly. ”I'm sorry,” he said quietly. What was he apologizing for? Falling into the room like he did? Scaring him? For even being assigned to that room? Not that it was really his choice to be there. He had wanted one of his own, but that hadn't been an option.
He glanced over at his bed, where it was made up neatly like he had left it that morning. Noah wanted to go over and hide under his blanket, but he was afraid that even moving from that spot would set off some unnatural disaster, so he stayed where he was. Hiding under his blanket wasn't going to make the situation less awkward either way. Because once he emerged from under it, he would have to face his roommate. One way or the other. Then again the door was just behind him, but the same problem still faced him. His eyes, which were watching him, moved down to the stuffed toy in his arms. Almost like his pillow pet, which was still being hugged to his chest. Just not being suffocated as nearly as much as that stuffed animal.
Noah was used to awkward situations, but usually the other person didn't find it nearly as awkward as he did. He didn't think that awkward situation should exist between roommates, but that couldn't always be helped. It was a first meeting, though so he hoped things would at least improve just a tiny bit later on. He still wasn't sure what to say or even do now that he was in his room; he hadn't exactly planned on something like this happening. Noah hadn't expected to meet his roommate the way he just did. He was just getting used to the awkward silence taking over when he decided to speak. However awkward it came out, it was a somewhat caring question, though he wasn't sure this boy actually cared.
Now that he thought about it, his arm was hurting just a little from where he had landed on it. But he didn't think it would do much good to say so, so he nodded instead. ”Yes... I'm fine, thank you.” No sprains or broken bones that he knew of, so he would live. He took a deep breath as his eyes finally left the stuffed animal and he looked up at his roommate. He shifted his weight to his other foot nervously. ”My name is Noah.” Almost as if the boy had asked, although it actually appeared as if he didn't want to know.
